A mulher saiu para se encontrar com ele; ela era bem ousada, e com muita malícia tentou provocar o jovem com suas roupas de prostituta.
Y he aquí, una mujer que le sale al encuentro con atavío de ramera, astuta de corazón,
And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

Ela era vulgar e atrevida, uma mulher que nunca para em casa;
Alborotadora y rencillosa, sus pies no pueden estar en casa;
(She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:

ora está na rua, ora nas praças, ora nas esquinas, à espreita de homens para serem seus amantes.
Unas veces de fuera, ó bien por las plazas, acechando por todas las esquinas.
Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

Ela se aproximou do jovem, beijou-o e disse muito cinicamente:
Y traba de él, y bésalo; desvergonzó su rostro, y díjole:
So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,

“Tenho em casa a carne das ofertas de paz que hoje preparei no templo para cumprir meus votos.

Por isso vim procurá-lo e de repente você apareceu!

Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.

Minha cama está coberta com lindos lençóis de linho colorido, importados do Egito.

Assim, ela seduziu o jovem com suas palavras e o atraiu com sua conversa doce e mentirosa.

With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.

Imediatamente ele a acompanhou, como um boi que caminha para o matadouro, ou como a corça que cai numa armadilha
Vase en pos de ella luego, como va el buey al degolladero, y como el loco á las prisiones para ser castigado;
He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
He followed her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter, as a fool stepping into a noose.
e espera apenas a morte quando a flecha lhe atravesse o fígado, ou como um pássaro que entra no alçapão sem saber que nunca sairá vivo de lá.
Como el ave que se apresura al lazo, y no sabe que es contra su vida, hasta que la saeta traspasó su hígado.
Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
Until an arrow strikes through his liver, as a bird hurries to the snare, and doesn’t know that it will cost his life.
Então, meu filho, ouça meus conselhos e obedeça às minhas instruções.
Ahora pues, hijos, oidme, y estad atentos á las razones de mi boca.
Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
Now therefore, sons, listen to me. Pay attention to the words of my mouth.
Não permita que o seu coração se volte para os caminhos dela; não fique pensando nela nem se aproxime dos lugares que ela frequenta,
No se aparte á sus caminos tu corazón; no yerres en sus veredas.
Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
Don’t let your heart turn to her ways. Don’t go astray in her paths,
porque ela já destruiu a vida de muitos jovens; muitos já perderam a vida por causa dela.
Porque á muchos ha hecho caer heridos; y aun los más fuertes han sido muertos por ella.
For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.
for she has thrown down many wounded. Yes, all her slain are a mighty army.
A casa onde ela recebe seus amantes é o caminho que desce para a sepultura e o reino dos mortos.
Caminos del sepulcro son su casa, que descienden á las cámaras de la muerte.
Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
Her house is the way to Sheol, going down to the rooms of death.
