¿No escuchan cómo llama la sabiduría? ¿No eleva su voz el entendimiento?
¿NO clama la sabiduría, y da su voz la inteligencia?
Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
Doesn’t wisdom cry out? Doesn’t understanding raise her voice?
En lo más alto de las colinas, allí donde se cruzan los caminos, ella se detiene.
En los altos cabezos, junto al camino, á las encrucijadas de las veredas se para;
She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
On the top of high places by the way, where the paths meet, she stands.
Junto a las puertas, a la entrada de la ciudad, ella grita con fuerza:
En el lugar de las puertas, á la entrada de la ciudad, á la entrada de las puertas da voces:
She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entry doors, she cries aloud:
“¡A ustedes, los hombres, los llamo! ¡A toda la humanidad dirijo mi voz!
Oh hombres, á vosotros clamo; y mi voz es á los hijos de los hombres.
Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
“I call to you men! I send my voice to the sons of mankind.
Ustedes, inexpertos, aprendan a ser prudentes; y ustedes, necios, traten de entender.
Entended, simples, discreción; y vosotros, locos, entrad en cordura.
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
You simple, understand prudence! You fools, be of an understanding heart!
Escúchenme, porque voy a decir cosas importantes; de mis labios solo sale lo que es correcto.
Oid, porque hablaré cosas excelentes; y abriré mis labios para cosas rectas.
Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

Mi boca dice siempre la verdad, pues mis labios detestan la mentira.
Porque mi boca hablará verdad, y la impiedad abominan mis labios.

Todo lo que digo es justo; no hay en mis palabras nada falso ni perverso.

Para el que tiene entendimiento, todo esto es claro; es muy sencillo para los que quieren aprender.

Acepten mi instrucción en lugar de la plata, y el conocimiento antes que el oro puro.

Porque la sabiduría vale más que las joyas; ¡nada de lo que deseen se le puede comparar!

Temer a Yahvé es odiar el mal. Yo detesto el orgullo, la arrogancia y el lenguaje perverso.
El temor de Jehová es aborrecer el mal; la soberbia y la arrogancia, y el mal camino y la boca perversa, aborrezco.
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Míos son el consejo y el buen juicio; yo soy el entendimiento y poseo el poder.
Conmigo está el consejo y el ser; yo soy la inteligencia; mía es la fortaleza.
Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
Counsel and sound knowledge are mine. I have understanding and power.
Gracias a mí reinan los reyes y los gobernantes dictan leyes justas.

Yo camino por la senda de la justicia, por los senderos de la rectitud,
Por vereda de justicia guiaré, por en medio de sendas de juicio;

para darles riquezas a los que me aman y llenar sus cofres por completo.
Para hacer heredar á mis amigos el ser, y que yo hincha sus tesoros.

Cuando le puso límites al mar y marcó los cimientos de la tierra, yo estaba a su lado como su maestra y arquitecta.
Cuando ponía á la mar su estatuto, y á las aguas, que no pasasen su mandamiento; cuando establecía los fundamentos de la tierra;
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

Día tras día yo era su alegría, y siempre disfrutaba de su presencia.
Con él estaba yo ordenándolo todo; y fuí su delicia todos los días, teniendo solaz delante de él en todo tiempo.
Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
then I was the craftsman by his side. I was a delight day by day, always rejoicing before him,
Me alegraba en este mundo que él creó; ¡mi felicidad estaba entre los seres humanos!
Huélgome en la parte habitable de su tierra; y mis delicias son con los hijos de los hombres.
Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

“Así que, hijos, escúchenme ahora: ¡Dichosos los que siguen mis caminos!
Ahora pues, hijos, oidme; y bienaventurados los que guardaren mis caminos.
Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
“Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, for blessed are those who keep my ways.
Escuchen mi instrucción y sean sabios; no la rechacen.
Atended el consejo, y sed sabios, y no lo menospreciéis.
Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

Dichoso el que me escucha y se queda a mi puerta día tras día, esperando a la entrada de mi casa.
Bienaventurado el hombre que me oye, velando á mis puertas cada día, guardando los umbrales de mis entradas.
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

Porque el que me encuentra, encuentra la vida y recibe el favor de Yahvé.
Porque el que me hallare, hallará la vida, y alcanzará el favor de Jehová.

Pero el que me ofende se hace daño a sí mismo; todos los que me odian, aman la muerte”.
Mas el que peca contra mí, defrauda su alma: todos los que me aborrecen, aman la muerte.
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
