LA Sapienza non grida ella? E la Prudenza non dà ella fuori la sua voce?
¿NO clama la sabiduría, y da su voz la inteligencia?
Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
Doesn’t wisdom cry out? Doesn’t understanding raise her voice?
Ella sta in piè in capo de' luoghi elevati, in su la via, Ne' crocicchi.
En los altos cabezos, junto al camino, á las encrucijadas de las veredas se para;
She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
On the top of high places by the way, where the paths meet, she stands.
Ella grida presso alle porte, alla bocca della città, All'entrata degli usci delle case,
En el lugar de las puertas, á la entrada de la ciudad, á la entrada de las puertas da voces:
She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the entry doors, she cries aloud:
Dicendo: Io grido a voi, o uomini principali; E la mia voce s'indirizza ancora al volgo.
Oh hombres, á vosotros clamo; y mi voz es á los hijos de los hombres.
Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
“I call to you men! I send my voice to the sons of mankind.
Semplici, intendete che cosa sia avvedimento; E voi stolti, intendete che cosa sia buon senno.
Entended, simples, discreción; y vosotros, locos, entrad en cordura.
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
You simple, understand prudence! You fools, be of an understanding heart!
Ascoltate; perciocchè io proporrò cose eccellenti; L'aprir delle mie labbra sarà di cose diritte.
Oid, porque hablaré cosas excelentes; y abriré mis labios para cosas rectas.

Conciossiachè il mio palato ragionerà di verità; Ma l'empietà è ciò che le mie labbra abbominano.

Cuando ponía á la mar su estatuto, y á las aguas, que no pasasen su mandamiento; cuando establecía los fundamentos de la tierra;

Ed era appo luicome un allievo, Ed era le sue delizie tuttodì; Io mi sollazzava in ogni tempo nel suo cospetto.
Con él estaba yo ordenándolo todo; y fuí su delicia todos los días, teniendo solaz delante de él en todo tiempo.
Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

Perciocchè chi mi trova trova la vita, Ed ottiene benevolenza dal Signore.
Porque el que me hallare, hallará la vida, y alcanzará el favor de Jehová.

Ma chi pecca contro a me fa ingiuria all'anima sua; Tutti quelli che mi odiano amano la morte.
