Does not wisdom call, and understanding raise its voice?
¿NO clama la sabiduría, y da su voz la inteligencia?
Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
Doesn’t wisdom cry out? Doesn’t understanding raise her voice?
⌞Atop the heights⌟ beside the road, at the crossroads she stands.
En los altos cabezos, junto al camino, á las encrucijadas de las veredas se para;
She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

Beside gates, before towns, at the entrance of doors, she cries out:

“To you, O ⌞people⌟, I call, and my cry is to the children of humankind.
Oh hombres, á vosotros clamo; y mi voz es á los hijos de los hombres.

Learn prudence, O simple ones; fools, learn ⌞intelligence⌟.
Entended, simples, discreción; y vosotros, locos, entrad en cordura.

Listen! For noble things I will speak, and upright things from the opening of my lips.
