LA sabiduría edificó su casa, labró sus siete columnas;
Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
Wisdom has built her house. She has carved out her seven pillars.
Ella ha ammazzati i suoi animali, ha temperato il suo vino. Ed anche ha apparecchiata la sua mensa.
Mató sus víctimas, templó su vino, y puso su mesa.
She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
She has prepared her meat. She has mixed her wine. She has also set her table.

Envió sus criadas; sobre lo más alto de la ciudad clamó:
She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
She has sent out her maidens. She cries from the highest places of the city:
Chi è scempio? riducasi qua. E a dire a quelli che sono scemi di senno:
Cualquiera simple, venga acá. A los faltos de cordura dijo:
Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
Venite, mangiate del mio pane, E bevete del vino che io ho temperato.
Venid, comed mi pan, y bebed del vino que yo he templado.
Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
“Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!
Lasciate le scempietà, e voi viverete; E camminate per la via della prudenza.
Dejad las simplezas, y vivid; y andad por el camino de la inteligencia.
Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding.”
Chi corregge lo schernitore ne riceve vituperio; E chi riprende l'empio ne riceve macchia.
El que corrige al escarnecedor, afrenta se acarrea: el que reprende al impío, se atrae mancha.
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
One who corrects a mocker invites insult. One who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.
Non riprender lo schernitore, Che talora egli non ti odii; Riprendi il savio, ed egli ti amerà.
No reprendas al escarnecedor, porque no te aborrezca; corrige al sabio, y te amará.
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Don’t reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise person, and he will love you.
Insegna al savio, ed egli diventerà più savio; Ammaestra il giusto, ed egli crescerà in dottrina.
Da al sabio, y será más sabio: enseña al justo, y acrecerá su saber.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning.
Il principio della sapienza è il timor del Signore; E la scienza de' santi è la prudenza.
El temor de Jehová es el principio de la sabiduría; y la ciencia de los santos es inteligencia.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Perciocchè per me ti saranno moltiplicati i giorni, E ti saranno aggiunti anni di vita.
Porque por mí se aumentarán tus días, y años de vida se te añadirán.
For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
For by me your days will be multiplied. The years of your life will be increased.
Se sei savio, sarai savio per te; Se altresì sei schernitore, tu solo ne porterai la pena.
Si fueres sabio, para ti lo serás: mas si fueres escarnecedor, pagarás tú solo.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. If you mock, you alone will bear it.
La donna stolta, strepitosa, Scempia, e che non ha alcuno intendimento,
La mujer loca es alborotadora; es simple é ignorante.
A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
The foolish woman is loud, undisciplined, and knows nothing.
Siede anch'essa all'entrata della sua casa, In seggio, ne' luoghi elevati della città.
Siéntase en una silla á la puerta de su casa, en lo alto de la ciudad,
For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
She sits at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city,
Per gridare a coloro che passano per la via, Che vanno a dirittura a lor cammino:
Para llamar á los que pasan por el camino, que van por sus caminos derechos.
To call passengers who go right on their ways:
to call to those who pass by, who go straight on their ways,
Chi è scempio? riducasi qua. E se vi è alcuno scemo di senno, gli dice:
Cualquiera simple, dice, venga acá. A los faltos de cordura dijo:

Le acque rubate son dolci, E il pane preso di nascosto è dilettevole.
Las aguas hurtadas son dulces, y el pan comido en oculto es suave.
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
“Stolen water is sweet. Food eaten in secret is pleasant.”
Ed egli non sa che là sono i morti; E che quelli ch'ella ha convitati son nel fondo dell'inferno.
Y no saben que allí están los muertos; que sus convidados están en los profundos de la sepultura.
But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
But he doesn’t know that the departed spirits are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
