LA sabiduría edificó su casa, labró sus siete columnas;
Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
Wisdom has built her house. She has carved out her seven pillars.
Elle a égorgé ses victimes ; elle a mêlé son vin dans un cratère et a dressé sa table.
Mató sus víctimas, templó su vino, y puso su mesa.
She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table.
She has prepared her meat. She has mixed her wine. She has also set her table.
Elle a envoyé ses serviteurs, conviant à boire autour de son cratère, disant :
Envió sus criadas; sobre lo más alto de la ciudad clamó:
She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city,
She has sent out her maidens. She cries from the highest places of the city:
Que l'insensé vienne à moi ; et à ceux qui manquent de sens elle a dit :
Cualquiera simple, venga acá. A los faltos de cordura dijo:
Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” As for him who is void of understanding, she says to him,
Venez, mangez de mon pain ; buvez du vin que j'ai mêlé pour vous.
Venid, comed mi pan, y bebed del vino que yo he templado.
Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.
“Come, eat some of my bread, Drink some of the wine which I have mixed!
Abandonnez la folie, pour régner dans l'éternité ; cherchez la sagesse, et dirigez votre intelligence vers le savoir.
Dejad las simplezas, y vivid; y andad por el camino de la inteligencia.
Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
Leave your simple ways, and live. Walk in the way of understanding.”
Celui qui veut instruire les méchants n'y gagnera que de la honte ; celui qui blâme l'impie se moque de soi-même.
El que corrige al escarnecedor, afrenta se acarrea: el que reprende al impío, se atrae mancha.
He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
One who corrects a mocker invites insult. One who reproves a wicked man invites abuse.
Ne réprimande pas le méchant, de peur qu'il ne te haïsse ; amis corrige le sage, et il t'aimera.
No reprendas al escarnecedor, porque no te aborrezca; corrige al sabio, y te amará.
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Don’t reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise person, and he will love you.
Donne au sage une occasion d'apprendre, et il sera plus sage ; avertis le juste, et il s'instruira de plus en plus.
Da al sabio, y será más sabio: enseña al justo, y acrecerá su saber.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning.
La crainte du Seigneur est le commencement de la sagesse, et le conseil des saints est l'intelligence ; car connaître la loi, c'est l'œuvre d'un bon esprit.
El temor de Jehová es el principio de la sabiduría; y la ciencia de los santos es inteligencia.

Et de cette manière tu vivras longtemps, et des années s'ajouteront à ta vie.
Porque por mí se aumentarán tus días, y años de vida se te añadirán.
For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.

Mon fils, si tu es sage, tu le seras pour toi-même et tes proches ; mais si tu deviens mauvais, toi seul en recueilleras des maux. Celui qui s'appuie sur des mensonges tente de gouverner les vents ou de poursuivre les oiseaux dans leur vol, car il a quitté les voies qui mènent à sa vigne ; il a égaré la charrue de son labourage ; il marche au travers d'un désert aride, d'une terre où l'on meurt de soif ; il recueille de ses mains la stérilité.
Si fueres sabio, para ti lo serás: mas si fueres escarnecedor, pagarás tú solo.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
If you are wise, you are wise for yourself. If you mock, you alone will bear it.
La femme insensée et hardie, qui ne connaît pas la pudeur, en viendra à manquer d'un morceau de pain.
La mujer loca es alborotadora; es simple é ignorante.
A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing.
The foolish woman is loud, undisciplined, and knows nothing.

appelant les passants qui vont droit leur chemin ; disant :
Para llamar á los que pasan por el camino, que van por sus caminos derechos.
To call passengers who go right on their ways:
to call to those who pass by, who go straight on their ways,
Que le plus insensé d'entre vous se détourne vers moi ; et à ceux qui manquent de sagesse, je m'adresse, en leur disant :

Goûtez avec joie des pains que je recèle, et de l'eau douce à la dérobée.
Las aguas hurtadas son dulces, y el pan comido en oculto es suave.
Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.
“Stolen water is sweet. Food eaten in secret is pleasant.”
Or il ne sait pas que des géants mêmes périssent auprès d'elle, et qu'il met le pied sur la trappe de l'enfer ; mais hâte-toi, point de retard en ce lieu ; n'arrête pas ton regard sur elle :
Y no saben que allí están los muertos; que sus convidados están en los profundos de la sepultura.
But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
But he doesn’t know that the departed spirits are there, that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
ainsi tu t'abstiendras de l'eau étrangère ;
