Et à nul homme Dieu ne permit de leur faire tort, et, à cause d'eux, il châtiait les rois, disant :

¡Cuán muchas son tus obras, oh Jehová! Hiciste todas ellas con sabiduría: la tierra está llena de tus beneficios.
O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

Puis il changea le cœur de ceux-ci, afin qu'ils haïssent son peuple et usassent de fraude contre ses serviteurs.

Leur terre produisit des grenouilles, jusqu'aux chambres les plus retirées des princes.
Envías tu espíritu, críanse: y renuevas la haz de la tierra.
Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

Il dit, et des mouches de chien et des moucherons vinrent dans toute leur contrée.
Sea la gloria de Jehová para siempre; alégrese Jehová en sus obras;

Il fit tourner leur pluie en grêle, et le feu dévora leur terre.
El cual mira á la tierra, y ella tiembla; toca los montes, y humean.
He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.

Et il frappa leurs vignes et leurs figuiers, et brisa tous les arbres sur leur territoire.

Il dit, et des sauterelles et des chenilles vinrent en quantité innombrable ;
Serme ha suave hablar de él: yo me alegraré en Jehová.
My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

Et elles rongèrent toute l'herbe de la terre et en mangèrent tous les fruits.
Sean consumidos de la tierra los pecadores, y los impíos dejen de ser. Bendice, alma mía, á Jehová. Aleluya.
