1¡Alaba, alma mía, al Señor! Dios mío, qué grande eres tú. Estas revestido de honor y majestad.
2Te cubres de luz como con un manto; extiendes los cielos como un velo.
3Afirmas sobre las aguas tus altos aposentos y haces de las nubes tus carros de guerra. ¡Tú cabalgas en las alas del viento!
4Haces de los vientos tus mensajeros, y de las llamas de fuego tus servidores.
5Tú pusiste la tierra sobre sus cimientos, y de allí nunca se moverá.
6Vestiste la tierra con torrentes de agua que cubrieran las montañas.
7Pero a tu reprensión huyeron las aguas; ante el estruendo de tu voz se dieron a la fuga.
8Las montañas salieron y los valles se hundieron hasta el lugar que tú les diste.
9Luego pusiste límite a los mares, para que nunca más cubrieran la tierra.
10Tú haces que los manantiales viertan sus aguas en las cañadas, y que los riachuelos fluyan en abundancia desde las montañas.
11Ellas suministran agua para todos los animales. Allí apagan su sed los burros salvajes,
12y las aves anidan junto a las corrientes y cantan entre las ramas de los árboles.
13Desde tu casa en las nubes, envías la lluvia sobre las montañas, y llenas la tierra con el fruto de tu trabajo.
14Haces que crezca la hierba para el ganado, y las plantas que la gente cultiva para sacar de la tierra su alimento,
15y vino para alegrarlo, y aceite de oliva como loción para su piel, y pan para fortalecerlo.
16Los árboles del Señor están bien regados, los cedros del Líbano que él plantó.
17Allí las aves hacen sus nidos, y en los cipreses tiene su hogar las cigüeñas.
18En lo alto de los montes hay pasto para las cabras monteses, y en sus rocas hallan refugio los tejones.
19Él destinó la luna para marcar los meses, y el sol para marcar los días.
20Tú envías la oscuridad, y cae la noche, y es cuando los animales del bosque salen a buscar su presa.
21Entonces rugen los leoncillos pidiendo alimento, pero en manos del Señor están.
22Cuando amanece regresan para ocultarse y reposar en sus guaridas,
23y la gente sale para cumplir con sus tareas, ellos trabajan hasta que las sombras de la noche caen otra vez.
24¡Señor, qué variedad de cosas has hecho! ¡Y con qué sabiduría has hecho todo! La tierra está llena de tus criaturas.
25Allí está el mar, ancho e infinito, que abunda en animales, grandes y pequeños, cuyo número es imposible conocer.
26¡Mira como navegan los barcos, y al Leviatán que tú hiciste para que jugara en el mar!
27Cada uno de estos animales espera de ti que a su tiempo le des su alimento.
28Tú se lo das, y ellos lo recogen. Abres tu mano para alimentarlos, y ellos quedan satisfechos.
29Pero si te apartas de ellos, se aterran; si les quitas el aliento, mueren y vuelven al polvo.
30Envías entonces tu Espíritu y nace nueva vida, para volver a llenar de seres vivientes la tierra.
31Que la gloria del Señor dure para siempre. El Señor se alegra en todo lo que ha creado.
32Él mira la tierra y la hace temblar; las montañas se incendian cuando él las toca.
33Cantaré al Señor mientras viva. Alabaré al Señor mientras me quede aliento.
34Deseo que a él le agraden todos estos pensamientos, pues él es la fuente de toda mi alegría.
35Desaparezcan de la tierra todos los pecadores; que los malvados desaparezcan para siempre. ¡Alaba, alma mía, al Señor! ¡Aleluya! ¡Alabado sea el Señor!

1BENDICE, alma mía, á Jehová. Jehová, Dios mío, mucho te has engrandecido; haste vestido de gloria y de magnificencia.
2El que se cubre de luz como de vestidura, que extiende los cielos como una cortina;
3Que establece sus aposentos entre las aguas; el que pone las nubes por su carroza, el que anda sobre las alas del viento;
4El que hace á sus ángeles espíritus, sus ministros al fuego flameante.
5El fundó la tierra sobre sus basas; no será jamás removida.
6Con el abismo, como con vestido, la cubriste; sobre los montes estaban las aguas.
7A tu reprensión huyeron; al sonido de tu trueno se apresuraron;
8Subieron los montes, descendieron los valles, al lugar que tú les fundaste.
9Pusísteles término, el cual no traspasarán; ni volverán á cubrir la tierra.
10Tú eres el que envías las fuentes por los arroyos; van entre los montes.
11Abrevan á todas las bestias del campo: quebrantan su sed los asnos montaraces.
12Junto á aquellos habitarán las aves de los cielos; entre las ramas dan voces.
13El que riega los montes desde sus aposentos: del fruto de sus obras se sacia la tierra.
14El que hace producir el heno para las bestias, y la hierba para el servicio del hombre; sacando el pan de la tierra.
15Y el vino que alegra el corazón del hombre, y el aceite que hace lucir el rostro, y el pan que sustenta el corazón del hombre.
16Llénanse de jugo los árboles de Jehová, los cedros del Líbano que él plantó.
17Allí anidan las aves; en las hayas hace su casa la cigüeña.
18Los montes altos para las cabras monteses; las peñas, madrigueras para los conejos.
19Hizo la luna para los tiempos: el sol conoce su ocaso.
20Pone las tinieblas, y es la noche: en ella corretean todas las bestias de la selva.
21Los leoncillos braman á la presa, y para buscar de Dios su comida.
22Sale el sol, recógense, y échanse en sus cuevas.
23Sale el hombre á su hacienda, y á su labranza hasta la tarde.
24¡Cuán muchas son tus obras, oh Jehová! Hiciste todas ellas con sabiduría: la tierra está llena de tus beneficios.
25Asimismo esta gran mar y ancha de términos: en ella pescados sin número, animales pequeños y grandes.
26Allí andan navíos; allí este leviathán que hiciste para que jugase en ella.
27Todos ellos esperan en ti, para que les des su comida á su tiempo.
28Les das, recogen; abres tu mano, hártanse de bien.
29Escondes tu rostro, túrbanse: les quitas el espíritu, dejan de ser, y tórnanse en su polvo.
30Envías tu espíritu, críanse: y renuevas la haz de la tierra.
31Sea la gloria de Jehová para siempre; alégrese Jehová en sus obras;
32El cual mira á la tierra, y ella tiembla; toca los montes, y humean.
33A Jehová cantaré en mi vida: á mi Dios salmearé mientras viviere.
34Serme ha suave hablar de él: yo me alegraré en Jehová.
35Sean consumidos de la tierra los pecadores, y los impíos dejen de ser. Bendice, alma mía, á Jehová. Aleluya.

1Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
2Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
3Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
4Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
5Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
6Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.
7At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
8They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
9Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
10He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.
11They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.
12By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.
13He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
14He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
15And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.
16The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
17Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.
18The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.
19He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
20Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
21The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.
22The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.
23Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
24O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
25So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
26There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.
27These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.
28That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.
29Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.
30Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
31The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.
32He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
33I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
35Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.

1Bless the LORD, my soul. The LORD, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.
2He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.
3He lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.
4He makes his messengers winds, and his servants flames of fire.
5He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.
6You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.
7At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.
8The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.
9You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, that they don’t turn again to cover the earth.
10He sends springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.
11They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12The birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.
13He waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.
14He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:
15wine that makes the heart of man glad, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man’s heart.
16The LORD’s trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted,
17where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the cypress trees.
18The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.
19He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.
20You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.
21The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
22The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens.
23Man goes out to his work, to his labor until the evening.
24LORD, how many are your works! In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches.
25There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.
26There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.
27These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.
28You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.
29You hide your face; they are troubled. You take away their breath; they die and return to the dust.
30You send out your Spirit and they are created. You renew the face of the ground.
31Let the LORD’s glory endure forever. Let the LORD rejoice in his works.
32He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33I will sing to the LORD as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.
34Let my meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in the LORD.
35Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, my soul. Praise the LORD!
