Cuando nuestros antepasados estaban en Egipto, no tomaron en cuenta los milagros de Dios; pronto se olvidaron de sus hechos bondadosos hacia ellos. Por el contrario, se rebelaron contra Dios en el Mar Rojo.

Nuestros padres en Egipto no entendieron tus maravillas; no se acordaron de la muchedumbre de tus misericordias; sino que se rebelaron junto á la mar, en el mar Bermejo.

Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
