No Egito, os nossos pais não deram valor às suas maravilhas; bem depressa se esqueceram do seu imenso amor, tantas vezes demonstrado. Junto ao mar Vermelho eles se revoltaram contra o Senhor.

Nuestros padres en Egipto no entendieron tus maravillas; no se acordaron de la muchedumbre de tus misericordias; sino que se rebelaron junto á la mar, en el mar Bermejo.

Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
