1Lobet Jehova! Preiset Jehova! Denn er ist gut, denn seine Güte währt ewiglich.
2Wer wird aussprechen die Machttaten Gottes, hören lassen all sein Lob?
3Glückselig die das Recht bewahren, der Gerechtigkeit übt zu aller Zeit!
4Gedenke meiner, Jehova, mit der Gunst gegen dein Volk; suche mich heim mit deiner Rettung!
5Daß ich anschaue die Wohlfahrt deiner Auserwählten, mich erfreue an der Freude deiner Nation, mich rühme mit deinem Erbteil.
6Wir haben gesündigt samt unseren Vätern, haben unrecht getan, haben gesetzlos gehandelt.
7Unsere Väter in Ägypten beachteten nicht deine Wundertaten, gedachten nicht der Menge deiner Gütigkeiten und waren widerspenstig am Meere, beim Schilfmeere.
8Aber er rettete sie um seines Namens willen, um kundzutun seine Macht.
9Und er schalt das Schilfmeer, und es ward trocken; und er ließ sie durch die Tiefen gehen wie durch eine Wüste.
10Und er rettete sie aus der Hand des Hassers, und erlöste sie aus der Hand des Feindes.
11Und die Wasser bedeckten ihre Bedränger, nicht einer von ihnen blieb übrig.
12Da glaubten sie seinen Worten, sie sangen sein Lob.
13Schnell vergaßen sie seine Taten, warteten nicht auf seinen Rat;
14und sie wurden lüstern in der Wüste und versuchten Gott in der Einöde.
15Da gab er ihnen ihr Begehr, aber er sandte Magerkeit in ihre Seelen.
16Und sie wurden eifersüchtig auf Mose im Lager, auf Aaron, den Heiligen Jehovas.
17Die Erde tat sich auf, und verschlang Dathan und bedeckte die Rotte Abirams;
18und ein Feuer brannte unter ihrer Rotte, eine Flamme verzehrte die Gesetzlosen.
19Sie machten ein Kalb am Horeb und bückten sich vor einem gegossenen Bilde;
20und sie vertauschten ihre Herrlichkeit gegen das Bild eines Stieres, der Gras frißt.
21Sie vergaßen Gottes, ihres Retters, der Großes getan in Ägypten,
22Wundertaten im Lande Hams, Furchtbares am Schilfmeer.
23Da sprach er, daß er sie vertilgen wollte, wenn nicht Mose, sein Auserwählter, vor ihm in dem Riß gestanden hätte, um seinen Grimm vom Verderben abzuwenden.
24Und sie verschmähten das köstliche Land, glaubten nicht seinem Worte;
25und sie murrten in ihren Zelten, hörten nicht auf die Stimme Jehovas.
26Da schwur er ihnen, sie niederzuschlagen in der Wüste,
27und ihren Samen niederzuschlagen unter den Nationen und sie zu zerstreuen in die Länder.
28Und sie hängten sich an Baal-Peor und aßen Schlachtopfer der Toten;
29und sie erbitterten ihn durch ihre Handlungen, und eine Plage brach unter sie ein.
30Da stand Pinehas auf und übte Gericht, und der Plage ward gewehrt.
31Und es wurde ihm zur Gerechtigkeit gerechnet von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht bis in Ewigkeit.
32Und sie erzürnten ihn an dem Wasser von Meriba, und es erging Mose übel ihretwegen;
33denn sie reizten seinen Geist, so daß er unbedacht redete mit seinen Lippen.
34Sie vertilgten die Völker nicht, wie doch Jehova ihnen gesagt hatte;
35und sie vermischten sich mit den Nationen und lernten ihre Werke;
36und sie dienten ihren Götzen, und sie wurden ihnen zum Fallstrick.
37Und sie opferten ihre Söhne und ihre Töchter den Dämonen.
38Und sie vergossen unschuldiges Blut, das Blut ihrer Söhne und ihrer Töchter, welche sie den Götzen Kanaans opferten; und das Land wurde durch Blut entweiht.
39Und sie verunreinigten sich durch ihre Werke und hurten durch ihre Handlungen.
40Da entbrannte der Zorn Jehovas wider sein Volk, und er verabscheute sein Erbteil;
41und er gab sie in die Hand der Nationen, und ihre Hasser herrschten über sie;
42und ihre Feinde bedrückten sie, und sie wurden gebeugt unter ihre Hand.
43Oftmals errettete er sie; sie aber waren widerspenstig in ihren Anschlägen, und sie sanken hin durch ihre Ungerechtigkeit.
44Und er sah an ihre Bedrängnis, wenn er ihr Schreien hörte;
45und er gedachte ihnen zugut an seinen Bund, und es reute ihn nach der Menge seiner Gütigkeiten.
46Und er ließ sie Erbarmen finden vor allen, die sie gefangen weggeführt hatten.
47Rette uns, Jehova, unser Gott, und sammle uns aus den Nationen, daß wir deinen heiligen Namen preisen, daß wir uns rühmen deines Lobes!
48Gepriesen sei Jehova, der Gott Israels, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! Und alles Volk sage: Amen! Lobet Jehova!

1ALELUYA. Alabad á Jehová, porque es bueno; porque para siempre es su misericordia.
2¿Quién expresará las valentías de Jehová? ¿quién contará sus alabanzas?
3Dichosos los que guardan juicio, los que hacen justicia en todo tiempo.
4Acuérdate de mí, oh Jehová, según tu benevolencia para con tu pueblo: visítame con tu salud;
5Para que yo vea el bien de tus escogidos, para que me goce en la alegría de tu gente, y me gloríe con tu heredad.
6Pecamos con nuestros padres, hicimos iniquidad, hicimos impiedad.
7Nuestros padres en Egipto no entendieron tus maravillas; no se acordaron de la muchedumbre de tus misericordias; sino que se rebelaron junto á la mar, en el mar Bermejo.
8Salvólos empero por amor de su nombre, para hacer notoria su fortaleza.
9Y reprendió al mar Bermejo, y secólo; é hízoles ir por el abismo, como por un desierto.
10Y salvólos de mano del enemigo, y rescatólos de mano del adversario.
11Y cubrieron las aguas á sus enemigos: no quedó uno de ellos.
12Entonces creyeron á sus palabras, y cantaron su alabanza.
13Apresuráronse, olvidáronse de sus obras; no esperaron en su consejo.
14Y desearon con ansia en el desierto; y tentaron á Dios en la soledad.
15Y él les dió lo que pidieron; mas envió flaqueza en sus almas.
16Tomaron después celo contra Moisés en el campo, y contra Aarón el santo de Jehová.
17Abrióse la tierra, y tragó á Dathán, y cubrió la compañía de Abiram.
18Y encendióse el fuego en su junta; la llama quemó los impíos.
19Hicieron becerro en Horeb, y encorváronse á un vaciadizo.
20Así trocaron su gloria por la imagen de un buey que come hierba.
21Olvidaron al Dios de su salud, que había hecho grandezas en Egipto;
22Maravillas en la tierra de Châm, cosas formidables sobre el mar Bermejo.
23Y trató de destruirlos, á no haberse puesto Moisés su escogido al portillo delante de él, á fin de apartar su ira, para que no los destruyese.
24Empero aborrecieron la tierra deseable: no creyeron á su palabra;
25Antes murmuraron en sus tiendas, y no oyeron la voz de Jehová.
26Por lo que alzó su mano á ellos, en orden á postrarlos en el desierto,
27Y humillar su simiente entre las gentes, y esparcirlos por las tierras.
28Allegáronse asimismo á Baal-peor, y comieron los sacrificios de los muertos.
29Y ensañaron á Dios con sus obras, y desarrollóse la mortandad en ellos.
30Entonces se levantó Phinees, é hizo juicio; y se detuvo la plaga.
31Y fuéle contado á justicia de generación en generación para siempre.
32También le irritaron en las aguas de Meriba: é hizo mal á Moisés por causa de ellos;
33Porque hicieron se rebelase su espíritu, como lo expresó con sus labios.
34No destruyeron los pueblos que Jehová les dijo;
35Antes se mezclaron con las gentes, y aprendieron sus obras,
36Y sirvieron á sus ídolos; los cuales les fueron por ruina.
37Y sacrificaron sus hijos y sus hijas á los demonios;
38Y derramaron la sangre inocente, la sangre de sus hijos y de sus hijas, que sacrificaron á los ídolos de Canaán: y la tierra fué contaminada con sangre.
39Contamináronse así con sus obras, y fornicaron con sus hechos.
40Encendióse por tanto el furor de Jehová sobre su pueblo, y abominó su heredad:
41Y entrególos en poder de las gentes, y enseñoreáronse de ellos los que los aborrecían.
42Y sus enemigos los oprimieron, y fueron quebrantados debajo de su mano.
43Muchas veces los libró; mas ellos se rebelaron á su consejo, y fueron humillados por su maldad.
44El con todo, miraba cuando estaban en angustia, y oía su clamor:
45Y acordábase de su pacto con ellos, y arrepentíase conforme á la muchedumbre de sus miseraciones.
46Hizo asimismo tuviesen de ellos misericordia todos los que los tenían cautivos.
47Sálvanos, Jehová Dios nuestro, y júntanos de entre las gentes, para que loemos tu santo nombre, para que nos gloriemos en tus alabanzas.
48Bendito Jehová Dios de Israel, desde el siglo y hasta el siglo: y diga todo el pueblo, Amén. Aleluya.

1Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his praise?
3Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.
4Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;
5That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
6We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
7Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
8Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
9He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
10And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.
12Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.
13They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:
14But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.
15And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
16They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD.
17The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
18And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.
19They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
20Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.
21They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
22Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
23Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
24Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:
25But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.
26Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:
27To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
28They joined themselves also unto Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.
30Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.
31And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.
32They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:
33Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.
34They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them:
35But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
36And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
37Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
39Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
40Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
41And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
42Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
43Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
44Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:
45And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
46He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.
47Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
48Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.
