1¡Alaben al Señor! ¡Agradézcanle, porque es bueno! Su gran amor durará para siempre.
2¿Quién puede dar cuenta de todas las maravillas que el Señor ha hecho? ¿Quién puede darle toda la alabanza que merece?
3Felices son esos que tratan a la gente de forma justa, quienes siempre hacen lo correcto.
4Acuérdate de mi, por favor, cuando seas generoso con tu pueblo; piensa en mí cuando vengas a salvar.
5Déjame ver a tu pueblo escogido prosperar; déjame alegrarme juntamente con tu nación santa; déjame compartir tu gozo con los tuyos.
6Hemos pecado como nuestros antepasados. Nos hemos equivocado. Somos culpables.
7No prestaron atención a todas las cosas buenas que hiciste. No guardaron en su corazón cuánto los amabas, sino que eligieron rebelarse en el mar Rojo.
8Tanto así que los salvó por su carácter santo, y para mostrar su poder
9Él dio la orden al mar Rojo, y este se secó. Guió a su pueblo a través de la profundidad del mar como si fueran por el desierto.
10Los rescató de aquellos que lo odiaban; los salvó del poder de sus enemigos.
11El agua ahogó a sus enemigos, ni uno de ellos sobrevivió,
12Entonces su pueblo confió en lo que él había prometido, y cantó alabanzas a su nombre.
13Pero ellos olvidaron rápidamente lo que Dios había hecho por ellos, y no escucharon sus advertencias.
14Estaban llenos de ansias desesperadas en el desierto; provocaron a Dios en el desierto.
15Dios les dio lo que querían, pero también les envió una plaga.
16La gente se volvió celosa de Moisés, y de Aarón, los sacerdotes santos del Señor.
17La tierra se abrió y se tragó a Datán; sepultó a Abiram y a sus seguidores.
18Fuego ardiente se encendió en medio de ellos. Una llama que los quemó a todos.
19En el monte Sinaí elaboraron un becerro, se postraron ante un ídolo de metal.
20¡Reemplazaron su rey de gloria por un toro que comía yerba!
21Se olvidaron de Dios, su Salvador, quien había hecho cosas maravillosas en Egipto;
22obrando toda clase de milagros en la tierra de Cam, haciendo cosas maravillosas en el mar Rojo.
23Y entonces dijo que iba a destruirlos, pero Moisés, su líder escogido, se colocó entre Dios y el pueblo para persuadirlo de nos destruirlos en su ira.
24Más tarde el pueblo se rehusó a entrar a la tierra prometida; no confiaron en que Él cumpliría lo que había prometido.
25Hablaban en sus tiendas sobre el Señor, y se rehusaron a obedecer lo que les había ordenado.
26Entonces levantó su mano para hacerles una seria advertencia de que los destruiría en el desierto,
27que dispersaría a sus descendientes entre las naciones, mandándolos a países lejanos.
28Proclamaron fidelidad a Baal Peor, y comieron alimento sacrificado a los muertos.
29Provocaron al Señor con lo que hicieron, haciéndolo enojar, y una plaga cayó sobre ellos.
30Pero Finees tomó un lugar por el Señor e intervino, y la plaga se detuvo.
31Ha sido considerado como un hombre que vivió con rectitud desde entonces hasta ahora, durante todas las generaciones.
32También hicieron airar al Señor en las aguas de Meribá, cuando las cosas se pusieron en contra de Moisés por culpa de ellos.
33Lo hicieron enfurecer tanto que habló sin pensar en el calor del momento.
34No destruyeron a los pueblos paganos como el Señor les había dicho,
35sino que en su lugar se unieron a ellos y adoptaron su estilo de vida.
36Adoraron a sus ídolos paganos que se convirtieron en una trampa para ellos.
37Incluso rindieron en sacrificio a sus hijos e hijas a esos demonios.
38Derramaron sangre de niños inocentes, sus propios hijos, sacrificándolos a los dioses de Canaán. Al hacerlo, mancharon la tierra con sangre.
39Incluso mancharon sus propias vidas con lo que hicieron: sus acciones fueron adulterio espiritual.
40Por eso el Señor se airó con su pueblo, odió a aquellos que le pertenecían.
41Y los entregó a las naciones paganas. Estos pueblos que los odiaban ahora se convirtieron en sus dirigentes.
42Sus enemigos los dominaron y los doblegaron con su poder.
43El Señor los rescató repetidas veces, pero ellos continuaron con sus actos rebeldes, hasta que fueron destruidos por sus propios pecados.
44Pero, a pesar de todo esto, el Señor fue movido por su sufrimiento; oyó sus lamentos quejumbrosos.
45Recordó el pacto que había hecho con ellos, y se contuvo por gran bondad y amor.
46Hizo que los pueblos que los habían capturado los trataran con misericordia.
47¡Sálvanos, Señor, Dios nuestro! reúnenos nuevamente de entre todas las naciones, para que podamos agradecerte y hablar de lo maravilloso que eres.
48¡Cuán grande es el Señor, el Dios de Israel, quien vive por siempre y para siempre! ¡Todo el mundo diga “Amén”! ¡Alaben al Señor!

1ALELUYA. Alabad á Jehová, porque es bueno; porque para siempre es su misericordia.
2¿Quién expresará las valentías de Jehová? ¿quién contará sus alabanzas?
3Dichosos los que guardan juicio, los que hacen justicia en todo tiempo.
4Acuérdate de mí, oh Jehová, según tu benevolencia para con tu pueblo: visítame con tu salud;
5Para que yo vea el bien de tus escogidos, para que me goce en la alegría de tu gente, y me gloríe con tu heredad.
6Pecamos con nuestros padres, hicimos iniquidad, hicimos impiedad.
7Nuestros padres en Egipto no entendieron tus maravillas; no se acordaron de la muchedumbre de tus misericordias; sino que se rebelaron junto á la mar, en el mar Bermejo.
8Salvólos empero por amor de su nombre, para hacer notoria su fortaleza.
9Y reprendió al mar Bermejo, y secólo; é hízoles ir por el abismo, como por un desierto.
10Y salvólos de mano del enemigo, y rescatólos de mano del adversario.
11Y cubrieron las aguas á sus enemigos: no quedó uno de ellos.
12Entonces creyeron á sus palabras, y cantaron su alabanza.
13Apresuráronse, olvidáronse de sus obras; no esperaron en su consejo.
14Y desearon con ansia en el desierto; y tentaron á Dios en la soledad.
15Y él les dió lo que pidieron; mas envió flaqueza en sus almas.
16Tomaron después celo contra Moisés en el campo, y contra Aarón el santo de Jehová.
17Abrióse la tierra, y tragó á Dathán, y cubrió la compañía de Abiram.
18Y encendióse el fuego en su junta; la llama quemó los impíos.
19Hicieron becerro en Horeb, y encorváronse á un vaciadizo.
20Así trocaron su gloria por la imagen de un buey que come hierba.
21Olvidaron al Dios de su salud, que había hecho grandezas en Egipto;
22Maravillas en la tierra de Châm, cosas formidables sobre el mar Bermejo.
23Y trató de destruirlos, á no haberse puesto Moisés su escogido al portillo delante de él, á fin de apartar su ira, para que no los destruyese.
24Empero aborrecieron la tierra deseable: no creyeron á su palabra;
25Antes murmuraron en sus tiendas, y no oyeron la voz de Jehová.
26Por lo que alzó su mano á ellos, en orden á postrarlos en el desierto,
27Y humillar su simiente entre las gentes, y esparcirlos por las tierras.
28Allegáronse asimismo á Baal-peor, y comieron los sacrificios de los muertos.
29Y ensañaron á Dios con sus obras, y desarrollóse la mortandad en ellos.
30Entonces se levantó Phinees, é hizo juicio; y se detuvo la plaga.
31Y fuéle contado á justicia de generación en generación para siempre.
32También le irritaron en las aguas de Meriba: é hizo mal á Moisés por causa de ellos;
33Porque hicieron se rebelase su espíritu, como lo expresó con sus labios.
34No destruyeron los pueblos que Jehová les dijo;
35Antes se mezclaron con las gentes, y aprendieron sus obras,
36Y sirvieron á sus ídolos; los cuales les fueron por ruina.
37Y sacrificaron sus hijos y sus hijas á los demonios;
38Y derramaron la sangre inocente, la sangre de sus hijos y de sus hijas, que sacrificaron á los ídolos de Canaán: y la tierra fué contaminada con sangre.
39Contamináronse así con sus obras, y fornicaron con sus hechos.
40Encendióse por tanto el furor de Jehová sobre su pueblo, y abominó su heredad:
41Y entrególos en poder de las gentes, y enseñoreáronse de ellos los que los aborrecían.
42Y sus enemigos los oprimieron, y fueron quebrantados debajo de su mano.
43Muchas veces los libró; mas ellos se rebelaron á su consejo, y fueron humillados por su maldad.
44El con todo, miraba cuando estaban en angustia, y oía su clamor:
45Y acordábase de su pacto con ellos, y arrepentíase conforme á la muchedumbre de sus miseraciones.
46Hizo asimismo tuviesen de ellos misericordia todos los que los tenían cautivos.
47Sálvanos, Jehová Dios nuestro, y júntanos de entre las gentes, para que loemos tu santo nombre, para que nos gloriemos en tus alabanzas.
48Bendito Jehová Dios de Israel, desde el siglo y hasta el siglo: y diga todo el pueblo, Amén. Aleluya.

1Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his praise?
3Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.
4Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;
5That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
6We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
7Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
8Nevertheless he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
9He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
10And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.
12Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.
13They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:
14But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.
15And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
16They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD.
17The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
18And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.
19They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
20Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.
21They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
22Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
23Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
24Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:
25But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.
26Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:
27To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
28They joined themselves also unto Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.
30Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.
31And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.
32They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:
33Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.
34They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them:
35But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
36And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
37Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
39Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
40Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
41And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
42Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
43Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
44Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:
45And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
46He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.
47Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
48Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

40Therefore the LORD burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.
41He gave them into the hand of the nations. Those who hated them ruled over them.
42Their enemies also oppressed them. They were brought into subjection under their hand.
43He rescued them many times, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their iniquity.
44Nevertheless he regarded their distress, when he heard their cry.
45He remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
46He made them also to be pitied by all those who carried them captive.
47Save us, LORD, our God, gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise!
