und sie gen Himmel fuhren und in den Abgrund fuhren, daß ihre Seele vor Angst verzagte,

Suben á los cielos, descienden á los abismos: sus almas se derriten con el mal.

They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.

They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble.
