«¡Señor, ayúdanos!», clamaron en su angustia, y él los libró de su dolor.

Porque él satisface al sediento y llena de bien al hambriento.

Algunos habitan en la oscuridad, en las más densas tinieblas, miserables prisioneros encadenados.
Los que moraban en tinieblas y sombra de muerte, aprisionados en aflicción y en hierros;

Habían perdido el apetito y tenían a la muerte cerca.
Su alma abominó toda vianda, y llegaron hasta las puertas de la muerte.

Algunos se hicieron a la mar en barcos; navegando las rutas comerciales del mundo.
Los que descienden á la mar en navíos, y hacen negocio en las muchas aguas,

También ellos observaron el poder de Dios en acción, sus obras impresionantes, allí, en las aguas profundas.
Ellos han visto las obras de Jehová, y sus maravillas en el profundo.

Habló y se desató un fuerte viento, se encresparon las olas.
El dijo, é hizo saltar el viento de la tempestad, que levanta sus ondas.

Sus barcos eran lanzados hacia el cielo y volvían a hundirse hacia lo profundo; los navegantes temblaban aterrorizados.
Suben á los cielos, descienden á los abismos: sus almas se derriten con el mal.

Tropezaban y se tambaleaban como ebrios y no hallaban qué hacer.
Tiemblan, y titubean como borrachos, y toda su ciencia es perdida.

Él convirtió los ríos en desierto, y los manantiales en tierra seca;

y transformó la tierra fértil en terrenos salitrosos, por la maldad de sus habitantes.

A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

Pero también transformó los desiertos en fuentes de aguas, la tierra seca en abundantes manantiales.

He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.

Lleva a los hambrientos a establecerse allí y a edificar sus ciudades,
Y allí aposenta á los hambrientos, y disponen ciudad para habitación;
And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
There he makes the hungry live, that they may prepare a city to live in,
a cultivar sus campos y plantar sus viñas, y a recoger magníficas cosechas.
Y siembran campos, y plantan viñas, y rinden crecido fruto.
And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

¡Cómo los bendice! Allí crían numerosas familias y sus rebaños aumentan.

Pero si disminuyen y empobrecen es por la opresión, los problemas y la tristeza.
Y luego son menoscabados y abatidos á causa de tiranía, de males y congojas.

Dios derrama su desprecio sobre los príncipes y los hacen vagar sin rumbo por los desiertos;
El derrama menosprecio sobre los príncipes, y les hace andar errados, vagabundos, sin camino:
He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.
pero libra a los pobres de su miseria y hace que sus familias crezcan como rebaño.
Y levanta al pobre de la miseria, y hace multiplicar las familias como rebaños de ovejas.
Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction, and increases their families like a flock.
Los rectos verán estas cosas y se alegrarán, mientras los malvados serán acallados.
Vean los rectos, y alégrense; y toda maldad cierre su boca.
The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
The upright will see it, and be glad. All the wicked will shut their mouths.
Quien sea sabio, que entiende estas cosas y vea el gran amor del Señor.
¿Quién es sabio y guardará estas cosas, y entenderá las misericordias de Jehová?
Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of the LORD.
