Palabra de Dios para Ti
1¡Den gracias a Yavé, Porque Él es bueno, Porque para siempre es su misericordia!
2Que lo digan los redimidos de Yavé, Los que redimió del poder del adversario,
3Y los que congregó de las tierras, Del oriente y del occidente, del norte y del sur.
4Ellos vagaron en un desierto, en región despoblada. No hallaron un camino hacia una ciudad habitada.
5Tenían hambre y sed. Sus almas desfallecían en ellos.
6Pero clamaron a Yavé en su angustia. Él los libró de sus aflicciones.
7Los condujo por un camino recto Para ir a una ciudad habitada.
8¡Den gracias a Yavé por su misericordia Y por sus maravillas para los hijos de los hombres!
9Porque Él sacia al alma que tiene sed Y llena de bien al alma que tiene hambre.
10Vivían en oscuridad y sombra de muerte, Prisioneros en aflicción y cadenas,
11Por cuanto fueron rebeldes a las Palabras de ʼEL Y trataron con desprecio el consejo del ʼElyón.
12Por tanto Él quebrantó sus corazones con trabajo. Cayeron y no hubo quien los ayudara.
13Pero en su angustia clamaron a Yavé, Él los libró de sus aflicciones.
14Los sacó de la oscuridad y de la sombra de muerte, Y rompió sus ataduras.
15¡Den gracias a Yavé por su misericordia, Y por sus maravillas para los hijos de los hombres!
16Porque quebró las puertas de bronce, Y desmenuzó los cerrojos de hierro.
17Fueron afligidos los necios a causa de su camino rebelde, Y a causa de sus iniquidades fueron afligidos.
18Su vida aborreció toda clase de alimento, Y se acercaron a las puertas de la muerte.
19Pero a Yavé clamaron en su angustia. Él los libró de sus aflicciones.
20Envió su Palabra y los sanó, Y los libró de sus destrucciones.
21¡Den gracias a Yavé por su misericordia Y por sus maravillas para los hijos de los hombres!
22Ofrezcan también sacrificios de acción de gracias Y proclamen sus obras con júbilo.
23Los que bajan en naves al mar, Los cuales hacen negocios sobre inmensas aguas.
24Ellos vieron las obras de Yavé Y sus maravillas en las profundidades.
25Porque Él habló y levantó un viento tempestuoso Que levantó las olas del mar.
26Subían hacia los cielos, Bajaban a las profundidades, Su alma se derretía en su desesperación.
27Temblaban y se tambaleaban como ebrios, Y toda su pericia fue inútil.
28En su angustia clamaron a Yavé, Y Él los sacó de sus angustias.
29Calmó la tormenta De tal modo que sus olas se apaciguaron.
30Entonces se alegraron porque se calmaron. Y así los guía al puerto que anhelan.
31¡Den gracias a Yavé por su misericordia, Y por sus maravillas para los hijos de los hombres!
32Exáltenlo en la congregación del pueblo, Y alábenlo en la reunión de los ancianos.
33Él cambia ríos en desierto Y manantiales de aguas en sequedales,
34La tierra fructífera en estéril, Por la perversidad de los que viven en ella.
35Él convierte el desierto en estanques de aguas, Y la tierra seca en manantiales.
36Allí coloca a los que tienen hambre, Para que establezcan una ciudad habitada.
37Siembran campos y plantan viñas Y recogen abundante fruto.
38Los bendice, Y se multiplican grandemente. No permite que disminuya su ganado
39Cuando son menguados y abatidos Por medio de opresión, aflicción y tristeza.
40Él derrama menosprecio sobre los nobles, Y los destina a vagar errantes en un desierto.
41Pero Él pone en alto a los pobres lejos de la aflicción Y hace que sus familias sean como un rebaño.
42Los rectos lo ven y se alegran, Pero toda injusticia cierra su boca.
43¿Quién es sabio? Observe estas cosas, Y entenderá las misericordias de Yavé.

1ALABAD á Jehová, porque es bueno; porque para siempre es su misericordia.
2Díganlo los redimidos de Jehová, los que ha redimido del poder del enemigo,
3Y los ha congregado de las tierras, del oriente y del occidente, del aquilón y de la mar.
4Anduvieron perdidos por el desierto, por la soledad sin camino, no hallando ciudad de población.
5Hambrientos y sedientos, su alma desfallecía en ellos.
6Habiendo empero clamado á Jehová en su angustia, librólos de sus aflicciones:
7Y dirigiólos por camino derecho, para que viniesen á ciudad de población.
8Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.
9Porque sació al alma menesterosa, y llenó de bien al alma hambrienta.
10Los que moraban en tinieblas y sombra de muerte, aprisionados en aflicción y en hierros;
11Por cuanto fueron rebeldes á las palabras de Jehová, y aborrecieron el consejo del Altísimo,
12Por lo que quebrantó él con trabajo sus corazones, cayeron y no hubo quien les ayudase;
13Luego que clamaron á Jehová en su angustia, librólos de sus aflicciones.
14Sacólos de las tinieblas y de la sombra de muerte, y rompió sus prisiones.
15Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.
16Porque quebrantó las puertas de bronce, y desmenuzó los cerrojos de hierro.
17Los insensatos, á causa del camino de su rebelión y á causa de sus maldades, fueron afligidos.
18Su alma abominó toda vianda, y llegaron hasta las puertas de la muerte.
19Mas clamaron á Jehová en su angustia, y salvólos de sus aflicciones.
20Envió su palabra, y curólos, y librólos de su ruina.
21Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres:
22Y sacrifiquen sacrificios de alabanza, y publiquen sus obras con júbilo.
23Los que descienden á la mar en navíos, y hacen negocio en las muchas aguas,
24Ellos han visto las obras de Jehová, y sus maravillas en el profundo.
25El dijo, é hizo saltar el viento de la tempestad, que levanta sus ondas.
26Suben á los cielos, descienden á los abismos: sus almas se derriten con el mal.
27Tiemblan, y titubean como borrachos, y toda su ciencia es perdida.
28Claman empero á Jehová en su angustia, y líbralos de sus aflicciones.
29Hace parar la tempestad en sosiego, y se apaciguan sus ondas.
30Alégranse luego porque se reposaron; y él los guía al puerto que deseaban.
31Alaben la misericordia de Jehová, y sus maravillas para con los hijos de los hombres.
32Y ensálcenlo en la congregación del pueblo; y en consistorio de ancianos lo alaben.
33El vuelve los ríos en desierto, y los manantiales de las aguas en secadales;
34La tierra fructífera en salados, por la maldad de los que la habitan.
35Vuelve el desierto en estanques de aguas, y la tierra seca en manantiales.
36Y allí aposenta á los hambrientos, y disponen ciudad para habitación;
37Y siembran campos, y plantan viñas, y rinden crecido fruto.
38Y los bendice, y se multiplican en gran manera; y no disminuye sus bestias.
39Y luego son menoscabados y abatidos á causa de tiranía, de males y congojas.
40El derrama menosprecio sobre los príncipes, y les hace andar errados, vagabundos, sin camino:
41Y levanta al pobre de la miseria, y hace multiplicar las familias como rebaños de ovejas.
42Vean los rectos, y alégrense; y toda maldad cierre su boca.
43¿Quién es sabio y guardará estas cosas, y entenderá las misericordias de Jehová?

1O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
7And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
9For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
10Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
11Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
12Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
13Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
15Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
16For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
17Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
18Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
19Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
20He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
21Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
22And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
24These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
25For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
26They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
27They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
28Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
29He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
30Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
31Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
33He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
34A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
36And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
37And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
38He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
39Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
40He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
41Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
42The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
43Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

34and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.
35He turns a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into water springs.
36There he makes the hungry live, that they may prepare a city to live in,
37sow fields, plant vineyards, and reap the fruits of increase.
38He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn’t allow their livestock to decrease.
39Again, they are diminished and bowed down through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.
40He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in a trackless waste.
41Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction, and increases their families like a flock.
42The upright will see it, and be glad. All the wicked will shut their mouths.
43Whoever is wise will pay attention to these things. They will consider the loving kindnesses of the LORD.
