Salmos 109

1¡Oh Dios! Eres el único al que rindo alabanza, por favor no permanezcas en silencio ahora,
2porque la gente malvada y engañosa me está atacando, diciendo mentiras sobre mí
3Me rodean con palabras de odio, pelean contra mí sin razón.
4Los amo, pero ellos me responden con hostilidad, ¡Incluso cuando estoy orando por ellos!
5Me devuelven el bien con el mal, el amor con el odio
6“Pon a alguien malo sobre él. Ten a alguien de pie acusándolo.
7Que cuando sea juzgado y sentenciado, sea hallado culpable. Que sus plegarias sean contadas como pecados.
8Ojalá se acorten sus vidas; y que alguien más tome su lugar.
9Que sus hijos queden huérfanos, y su esposa viuda.
10Y que sus hijos queden desamparados, sin hogar, vagando de aquí para allá, expulsados de sus casas en ruinas.
11Que los acreedores les quiten todo lo que poseen; y que los ladrones se lleven todo por lo cual han trabajado.
12Que nadie los trate bien; que nadie sienta lástima por sus hijos desamparados.
13Que todos sus descendientes mueran; que el nombre de su familia sea borrado en la siguiente generación.
14Que el Señor recuerde los pecados de sus padres; que los pecados de sus madres no sean borrados.
15Que sus errores permanezcan constantemente ante el Señor; y que su nombre sea olvidado completamente por el pueblo.
16Porque no pensó en ser amable con otros, y en su lugar, acosó y mató a los pobres, a lo necesitados y a los de corazón roto.
17Le encantaba maldecir a otros, ¡Que caiga sobre él ahora la maldición! Más no tenía tiempo para bendecir, ¡Así que ojalá nunca reciba una sola bendición!
18Maldecía tan a menudo como cambiaba de ropa. Ojalá se trague sus maldiciones como bebe el agua, como el aceite que frota sobre su piel y llega hasta sus huesos.
19Que las maldiciones que ha lanzado se peguen a él como la ropa, que lo aprieten todo el tiempo como un cinto”.
20Que todo esto sea el castigo del Señor sobre mis enemigos, sobre aquellos que hablan mal de mí.
21Pero a mí, Señor, trátame bien, por tu nombre. Sálvame porque eres leal y bueno.
22Porque estoy pobre y necesitado, y mi corazón se rompe.
23Me estoy desvaneciendo como una sombra nocturna; soy como una langosta que se sacude.
24Estoy tan débil por la falta de comida que mis piernas ya no dan más; Mi cuerpo es solo piel y huesos.
25¡La gente me ridiculiza, me miran y menean la cabeza!
26Ayúdame, Dios mío; sálvame por tu gran amor.
27Que los demás reconozcan que esto es lo que haces, que tú eres el único que me salva.
28Cuando me maldigan, tú me bendecirás. Cuando me ataquen, tú los destruirás. Y yo, tu siervo, me alegraré.
29Que todos los que me acusan sean revestidos con desgracias; que se cubran a sí mismos con capas de vergüenza.
30Pero yo seguiré agradeciendo al Señor, alabándolo frente a todos los que me rodean.
31Porque él defiende al necesitado, y lo salva de aquellos que lo condenan.

1Al Músico principal: Salmo de David. OH Dios de mi alabanza, no calles;
2Porque boca de impío y boca de engañador se han abierto sobre mí: han hablado de mí con lengua mentirosa,
3Y con palabras de odio me rodearon; y pelearon contra mí sin causa.
4En pago de mi amor me han sido adversarios: mas yo oraba.
5Y pusieron contra mí mal por bien, y odio por amor.
6Pon sobre él al impío: y Satán esté á su diestra.
7Cuando fuere juzgado, salga impío; y su oración sea para pecado.
8Sean sus días pocos: tome otro su oficio.
9Sean sus hijos huérfanos, y su mujer viuda.
10Y anden sus hijos vagabundos, y mendiguen; y procuren su pan lejos de sus desolados hogares.
11Enrede el acreedor todo lo que tiene, y extraños saqueen su trabajo.
12No tenga quien le haga misericordia; ni haya quien tenga compasión de sus huérfanos.
13Su posteridad sea talada; en segunda generación sea raído su nombre.
14Venga en memoria cerca de Jehová la maldad de sus padres, y el pecado de su madre no sea borrado.
15Estén siempre delante de Jehová, y él corte de la tierra su memoria.
16Por cuanto no se acordó de hacer misericordia, y persiguió al hombre afligido y menesteroso y quebrantado de corazón, para matarlo.
17Y amó la maldición, y vínole; y no quiso la bendición, y ella se alejó de él.
18Y vistióse de maldición como de su vestido, y entró como agua en sus entrañas, y como aceite en sus huesos.
19Séale como vestido con que se cubra, y en lugar de cinto con que se ciña siempre.
20Este sea el pago de parte de Jehová de los que me calumnian, y de los que hablan mal contra mi alma.
21Y tú, Jehová Señor, haz conmigo por amor de tu nombre: líbrame, porque tu misericordia es buena.
22Porque yo estoy afligido y necesitado; y mi corazón está herido dentro de mí.
23Voime como la sombra cuando declina; soy sacudido como langosta.
24Mis rodillas están debilitadas á causa del ayuno, y mi carne desfallecida por falta de gordura.
25Yo he sido para ellos objeto de oprobio; mirábanme, y meneaban su cabeza.
26Ayúdame, Jehová Dios mío: sálvame conforme á tu misericordia.
27Y entiendan que esta es tu mano; que tú, Jehová, has hecho esto.
28Maldigan ellos, y bendice tú: levántense, mas sean avergonzados, y regocíjese tu siervo.
29Sean vestidos de ignominia los que me calumnian; y sean cubiertos de su confusión como con manto.
30Yo alabaré á Jehová en gran manera con mi boca, y le loaré en medio de muchos.
31Porque él se pondrá á la diestra del pobre, para librar su alma de los que le juzgan.

1Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;
2For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.
3They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
4For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.
5And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
6Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.
7When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
8Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
9Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
11Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.
12Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.
13Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
16Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.
17As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.
18As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
19Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.
20Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
21But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name’s sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.
22For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
23I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.
24My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.
25I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.
26Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:
27That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.
28Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.
29Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.
30I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.
31For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.
World English Bible
1God of my praise, don’t remain silent,
2for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.
3They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.
4In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.
5They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
6Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.
7When he is judged, let him come out guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.
8Let his days be few. Let another take his office.
9Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.
11Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.
12Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.
13Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.
14Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD. Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off their memory from the earth;
16because he didn’t remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.
17Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn’t delight in blessing, and it was far from him.
18He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.
19Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.
20This is the reward of my adversaries from the LORD, of those who speak evil against my soul.
21But deal with me, GOD the Lord, for your name’s sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;
22for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.
23I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.
24My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.
25I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.
26Help me, LORD, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness;
27that they may know that this is your hand; that you, LORD, have done it.
28They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.
29Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.
30I will give great thanks to the LORD with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.
31For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.
