Note.—Here begins a change of numbers as compared with the Hebrew which continues to Ps 146, this psalm having no number, and the eleventh being called the tenth Why standest thou afar off, O Lord? why dost thou overlook us in times of need, in affliction?
¿POR qué estás lejos, oh Jehová, y te escondes en el tiempo de la tribulación?
Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
Why do you stand far off, LORD? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
While the ungodly one acts proudly, the poor is Gr. inflamed, as in a fever hotly pursued: the wicked are taken in the crafty counsels which they imagine.
Con arrogancia el malo persigue al pobre: serán cogidos en los artificios que han ideado.
The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak. They are caught in the schemes that they devise.
Because the sinner praises himself for the desires of his heart; and the unjust one blesses himself.
Por cuanto se alaba el malo del deseo de su alma, y bendice al codicioso, á quien Jehová aborrece.
For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.
For the wicked boasts of his heart’s cravings. He blesses the greedy and condemns the LORD.
The sinner has provoked the Lord: according to the abundance of his Or, anger pride he will not seek after him : God is not before him.
El malo, por la altivez de su rostro, no busca á Dios: no hay Dios en todos sus pensamientos.
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
The wicked, in the pride of his face, has no room in his thoughts for God.
His ways are Gr. profaned profane at all times; thy judgements are removed from before him: he will gain the mastery over all his enemies.
Sus caminos son viciosos en todo tiempo: tus juicios los tiene muy lejos de su vista: echa bocanadas en orden á todos sus enemigos.
His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
His ways are prosperous at all times. He is arrogant, and your laws are far from his sight. As for all his adversaries, he sneers at them.
For he has said in his heart, I shall not be moved, continuing without evil from generation to generation.
Dice en su corazón: No seré movido en ningún tiempo, ni jamás me alcanzará el infortunio.
He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.
He says in his heart, “I shall not be shaken. For generations I shall have no trouble.”
Ro 3:14 Whose mouth is full of cursing, and bitterness, and fraud: under his tongue are trouble and pain.
Llena está su boca de maldición, y de engaños y fraude: debajo de su lengua, vejación y maldad.
His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and oppression. Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
He lies in wait with rich men in secret places, in order to slay the innocent: his eyes are Gr. look set against the poor.
Está en las guaridas de las aldeas: en los escondrijos mata al inocente: sus ojos están acechando al pobre.
He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.
He lies in wait near the villages. From ambushes, he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly set against the helpless.
He lies in wait in secret as a lion in his den: he lies in wait to ravish the poor, to ravish the poor when he draws him after him: he will bring him down in his snare.
Acecha en oculto, como el león desde su cama: acecha para arrebatar al pobre: arrebata al pobre trayéndolo á su red.
He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.
He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush. He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless when he draws him in his net.
He will bow down and fall when he has mastered the poor.
Encógese, agáchase, y caen en sus fuerzas muchos desdichados.
He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.
The helpless are crushed. They collapse. They fall under his strength.
For he has said in his heart, God has forgotten: he has turned away his face so as never to look.
Dice en su corazón: Dios está olvidado, ha encubierto su rostro; nunca lo verá.
He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.
He says in his heart, “God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it.”
Arise, O Lord God; let thy hand be lifted up: forget not the poor.
Levántate, oh Jehová Dios, alza tu mano, no te olvides de los pobres.
Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble.
Arise, LORD! God, lift up your hand! Don’t forget the helpless.
Wherefore, has the wicked provoked God? for he has said in his heart, He will not require it.
¿Por qué irrita el malo á Dios? En su corazón ha dicho que no lo inquirirás.
Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.
Why does the wicked person condemn God, and say in his heart, “God won’t call me into account”?
Thou seest it; for thou dost observe trouble and wrath, to deliver them into thy hands: the poor has been left to thee; thou wast a helper to the orphan.
Tú lo tienes visto: porque tú miras el trabajo, y la vejación, para vengarle por tu mano: á ti se acoge el pobre, tú eres el amparo del huérfano.
Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.
But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless.
Break thou the arm of the sinner and wicked man: his sin shall be sought for, and shall not be found.
Quebranta el brazo del malo: del maligno buscarás su maldad, hasta que ninguna halles.
Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
Break the arm of the wicked. As for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none.
The Lord shall reign for ever, even for ever and ever: ye Gentiles shall perish out his land.
Jehová, Rey eterno y perpetuo; de su tierra fueron destruídas las gentes.
The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.
The LORD is King forever and ever! The nations will perish out of his land.
The Lord has heard the desire of the poor: thine ear has inclined to the preparation of their heart;
El deseo de los humildes oíste, oh Jehová: tú dispones su corazón, y haces atento tu oído;
LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
LORD, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,
to plead for the orphan and afflicted, that man may no more boast upon the earth.
Para juzgar al huérfano y al pobre, á fin de que no vuelva más á hacer violencia el hombre de la tierra.
To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.
to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.
