1Cuando Israel salió de Egipto, los hijos de Jacob de un pueblo cuyo idioma les era extraño;
2Judá se convirtió en su lugar santo, e Israel su reino.
3El mar lo vio y se fue en vuelo; Jordan fue rechazado.
4Las montañas saltaban como cabras, y las pequeñas colinas como corderos.
5¿Qué te sucedió, oh mar, que fuiste a volar? O Jordan, que fuiste devuelto?
6Ustedes montañas, ¿por qué saltaron como cabras, y sus pequeñas colinas como corderos?
7Sé ha turbado, tierra, delante de Jehová, delante del Dios de Jacob;
8Que hizo la roca en un manantial de agua, y la piedra dura en una fuente.

1CUANDO salió Israel de Egipto, la casa de Jacob del pueblo bárbaro,
2Judá fué su consagrada heredad, Israel su señorío.
3La mar vió, y huyó; el Jordán se volvió atrás.
4Los montes saltaron como carneros: los collados como corderitos.
5¿Qué tuviste, oh mar, que huiste? ¿y tú, oh Jordán, que te volviste atrás?
6Oh montes, ¿por qué saltasteis como carneros, y vosotros, collados, como corderitos?
7A la presencia del Señor tiembla la tierra, á la presencia del Dios de Jacob;
8El cual tornó la peña en estanque de aguas, y en fuente de aguas la roca.

1When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
2Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
3The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
4The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
5What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
6Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
7Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
