1Cuando Israel salió de Egipto, la casa de Jacob de un pueblo de lengua extraña,
2Judá se convirtió en su santuario, e Israel en su señorío.
3El mar lo vio y huyó; el Jordán se volvió atrás.
4Los montes saltaron como carneros, los collados como corderitos.
5¿Qué tuviste, oh mar, que huiste? Y tú, oh Jordán, ¿por qué te volviste atrás?
6Oh montes, ¿por qué saltasteis como carneros, y vosotros, collados, como corderitos?
7Tiembla, oh tierra, ante la presencia del Señor, ante la presencia del Dios de Jacob,
8el cual convirtió la peña en estanque de agua, y el pedernal en manantial de aguas.

1When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
2Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
3The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
4The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
5What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
6Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
7Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
