1A través del éxodo de Israel desde Egipto, cuando los descendientes de Jacob salieron de aquella nación extranjera,
2la tierra de Judá se convirtió en el santuario del Señor, Israel su reino.
3El mar rojo los vio y huyó; el río Jordán también se retiró.
4Las montañas brincaron como carneros, los cerros saltaron como ovejas.
5Oh, Mar Rojo, ¿Por qué huiste? Río Jordán, ¿Por qué volviste a atrás?
6Montañas, ¿Por qué saltaron alarmadas? Montes, ¿Por qué se asustaron como ovejas?
7Tierra, tiembla ante la presencia del Señor, ¡Tiembla ante la presencia del Dios de Jacob!
8Él es el único que puede convertir una roca en manantial de aguas; y hacer brotar el agua de piedras solidas.

1CUANDO salió Israel de Egipto, la casa de Jacob del pueblo bárbaro,
2Judá fué su consagrada heredad, Israel su señorío.
3La mar vió, y huyó; el Jordán se volvió atrás.
4Los montes saltaron como carneros: los collados como corderitos.
5¿Qué tuviste, oh mar, que huiste? ¿y tú, oh Jordán, que te volviste atrás?
6Oh montes, ¿por qué saltasteis como carneros, y vosotros, collados, como corderitos?
7A la presencia del Señor tiembla la tierra, á la presencia del Dios de Jacob;
8El cual tornó la peña en estanque de aguas, y en fuente de aguas la roca.

1When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
2Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
3The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
4The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
5What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
6Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
7Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
