I legami della morte mi aveano circondato, le angosce del soggiorno dei morti m’aveano còlto; io avevo incontrato distretta e cordoglio.

Rodeáronme los dolores de la muerte, me encontraron las angustias del sepulcro: angustia y dolor había yo hallado.

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.
