Peu s’en est fallu qu’ils ne m’aient consumé sur la terre ; mais moi, je n’ai pas abandonné tes préceptes.

Casi me han echado por tierra: mas yo no he dejado tus mandamientos.

They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

They had almost wiped me from the earth, but I didn’t forsake your precepts.
