1Em minha angústia clamei ao SENHOR, e ele me respondeu.
2Ó SENHOR, livra minha alma dos lábios mentirosos, da língua enganadora.
3O que ele te dará, e o que ele fará contigo, ó língua enganadora?
4Flechas afiadas de um guerreiro, com brasas de zimbro.
5Ai de mim, que peregrino em Meseque, e habito nas tendas de Quedar!
6Minha alma morou tempo demais com os que odeiam a paz.
7Eu sou da paz; mas quando falo, eles entram em guerra.

2Libra mi alma, oh Jehová, de labio mentiroso, de la lengua fraudulenta.
3¿Qué te dará, ó qué te aprovechará, oh lengua engañosa?
4Agudas saetas de valiente, con brasas de enebro.
5¡Ay de mí, que peregrino en Mesech, y habito entre las tiendas de Kedar!
6Mucho se detiene mi alma con los que aborrecen la paz.
7Yo soy pacífico: mas ellos, así que hablo, me hacen guerra.

1In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
2Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
4Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
