1Si no hubiese estado Yahvé por nosotros, diga ahora Israel;
2si no hubiese estado Yahvé por nosotros, cuando los hombres se levantaron contra nosotros,
3vivos nos habrían tragado entonces, cuando su furor se encendió contra nosotros;
4entonces las aguas nos habrían inundado, el torrente habría pasado sobre nuestra alma.
5Entonces habrían pasado sobre nuestra alma las aguas impetuosas.
6Bendito sea Yahvé, que no nos dio por presa a sus dientes.
7Nuestra alma escapó como un ave del lazo de los cazadores; se rompió el lazo, y nosotros escapamos.
8Nuestro socorro está en el nombre de Yahvé, que hizo los cielos y la tierra.

1Cántico gradual: de David. A NO haber estado Jehová por nosotros, diga ahora Israel;
2A no haber estado Jehová por nosotros, cuando se levantaron contra nosotros los hombres,
3Vivos nos habrían entonces tragado, cuando se encendió su furor en nosotros.
4Entonces nos habrían inundado las aguas; sobre nuestra alma hubiera pasado el torrente:
5Hubieran entonces pasado sobre nuestra alma las aguas soberbias.
6Bendito Jehová, que no nos dió por presa á sus dientes.
7Nuestra alma escapó cual ave del lazo de los cazadores: quebróse el lazo, y escapamos nosotros.
8Nuestro socorro es en el nombre de Jehová, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.

1If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
2If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
3Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
4Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
5Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
6Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
World English Bible
1If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, let Israel now say,
