Desde mi juventud mis enemigos me han perseguido —que lo repita ahora Israel—
Cántico gradual. MUCHO me han angustiado desde mi juventud, puede decir ahora Israel;
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:
Many times they have afflicted me from my youth up. Let Israel now say:
Desde mi juventud mis enemigos me han perseguido, pero no han logrado acabar conmigo.
Mucho me han angustiado desde mi juventud; mas no prevalecieron contra mí.
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.
many times they have afflicted me from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.
Mi espalda está cubierta de heridas, como si hubieran pasado un arado sobre ella y hecho surcos.
Sobre mis espaldas araron los aradores: hicieron largos surcos.
The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

Pero el Señor es bueno; me ha librado de las ataduras de los malvados.
Jehová es justo; cortó las coyundas de los impíos.
The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
The LORD is righteous. He has cut apart the cords of the wicked.
Que retrocedan avergonzados todos los que odian a Sion.
Serán avergonzados y vueltos atrás todos los que aborrecen á Sión.
Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
Let them be disappointed and turned backward, all those who hate Zion.
Que sean como la hierba en el techo, que antes de crecer se marchita;
Serán como la hierba de los tejados, que se seca antes que crezca:
Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:
Let them be as the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up,
que no llena las manos del segador ni el regazo del que cosecha.
De la cual no hinchió segador su mano, ni sus brazos el que hace gavillas.
Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
with which the reaper doesn’t fill his hand, nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.
Que al pasar nadie les diga: «La bendición del Señor sea con ustedes; los bendecimos en el nombre del Señor».
Ni dijeron los que pasaban: Bendición de Jehová sea sobre vosotros; os bendecimos en el nombre de Jehová.
Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
Neither do those who go by say, “The blessing of the LORD be on you. We bless you in the LORD’s name.”
