Desde a mocidade tenho sofrido horríveis perseguições; que o povo de Israel responda:
Cántico gradual. MUCHO me han angustiado desde mi juventud, puede decir ahora Israel;

Desde a mocidade tenho sofrido horríveis perseguições, mas ninguém foi capaz de me destruir!
Mucho me han angustiado desde mi juventud; mas no prevalecieron contra mí.
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.
many times they have afflicted me from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.
As minhas costas têm marcas profundas, como os sulcos feitos pelo arado.
Sobre mis espaldas araron los aradores: hicieron largos surcos.
The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

O Senhor é justo e me livrou das cordas dos maus.
Jehová es justo; cortó las coyundas de los impíos.
The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

Deus há de envergonhar e derrotar todos os povos que odeiam Sião.
Serán avergonzados y vueltos atrás todos los que aborrecen á Sión.
Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
Let them be disappointed and turned backward, all those who hate Zion.
Eles serão como o capim que cresce no terraço, que seca e murcha antes de ser arrancada,
Serán como la hierba de los tejados, que se seca antes que crezca:
Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:
Let them be as the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up,
capim que ninguém colhe, nem o prende em feixes.
De la cual no hinchió segador su mano, ni sus brazos el que hace gavillas.
Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
with which the reaper doesn’t fill his hand, nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.
Quem passar diante dessas pessoas não diga: “A bênção do Senhor esteja sobre vocês! Nós os abençoamos em nome do Senhor!”
Ni dijeron los que pasaban: Bendición de Jehová sea sobre vosotros; os bendecimos en el nombre de Jehová.
Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
Neither do those who go by say, “The blessing of the LORD be on you. We bless you in the LORD’s name.”
