Muchas veces me han asaltado los enemigos desde mi tierna edad; dígalo ahora Israel.
Cántico gradual. MUCHO me han angustiado desde mi juventud, puede decir ahora Israel;
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

Muchas veces me han asaltado desde mi tierna edad, pero no han podido conmigo.
Mucho me han angustiado desde mi juventud; mas no prevalecieron contra mí.
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.
many times they have afflicted me from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.
Sobre mis espaldas descargaron crudos golpes los pecadores; por largo tiempo me hicieron sentir su injusticia o tiranía.
Sobre mis espaldas araron los aradores: hicieron largos surcos.

El Señor que es justo ha cortado la cabeza a los pecadores.
Jehová es justo; cortó las coyundas de los impíos.
The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

Confundidos sean, y puestos en fuga todos los que aborrecen a Sión.
Serán avergonzados y vueltos atrás todos los que aborrecen á Sión.
Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
Let them be disappointed and turned backward, all those who hate Zion.
Sean como hierba de tejados, que antes de ser arrancada se seca;
Serán como la hierba de los tejados, que se seca antes que crezca:
Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:
Let them be as the grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up,
de la que nunca llenó su puño el segador, ni sus brazos el que recoge los manojos;
De la cual no hinchió segador su mano, ni sus brazos el que hace gavillas.
Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
with which the reaper doesn’t fill his hand, nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.
ni dijeron los caminantes: La bendición del Señor continúe sobre vosotros, os la deseamos en el Nombre del Señor.
Ni dijeron los que pasaban: Bendición de Jehová sea sobre vosotros; os bendecimos en el nombre de Jehová.
Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
Neither do those who go by say, “The blessing of the LORD be on you. We bless you in the LORD’s name.”
