¡Oh Señor!, no se ha enorgullecido mi corazón, ni mis ojos se han mostrado altivos. No he aspirado a cosas grandes, ni a cosas elevadas sobre mi capacidad.
Cántico gradual: de David. JEHOVÁ, no se ha envanecido mi corazón, ni mis ojos se enaltecieron; ni anduve en grandezas, ni en cosas para mí demasiado sublimes.
LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.

Si yo no he sentido bajamente de mí, sino que al contrario se ha llenado de soberbia mi ánimo, como el niño recién destetado está penando en los brazos de su madre, que así sea la pena dentro de mi corazón.
En verdad que me he comportado y he acallado mi alma, como un niño destetado de su madre: como un niño destetado está mi alma.
Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
