Señor, acuérdate de David y de todo lo que él sufrió.
Cántico gradual. ACUÉRDATE, oh Jehová, de David, y de toda su aflicción;
LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:
LORD, remember David and all his affliction,
Él hizo un juramento ante el Señor, hizo votos al Poderoso de Jacob.
Que juró él á Jehová, prometió al Fuerte de Jacob:
How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;
how he swore to the LORD, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
No iré a mi casa y no descansaré.
No entraré en la morada de mi casa, ni subiré sobre el lecho de mi estrado;
Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
“Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;
No cerraré los ojos, ni siquiera un parpadeo,
No daré sueño á mis ojos, ni á mis párpados adormecimiento,
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids,
hasta que encuentre un lugar para edificar la casa del Señor, un santuario para el Poderoso de Jacob.
Hasta que halle lugar para Jehová, moradas para el Fuerte de Jacob.
Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.
until I find out a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
En Efrata oímos hablar del cofre; dimos con él en los campos de Yagar.
He aquí, en Ephrata oímos de ella: hallámosla en los campos del bosque.
Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.
Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar.
«Vayamos hasta la morada del Señor; postrémonos ante el estrado de sus pies».
Entraremos en sus tiendas; encorvarnos hemos al estrado de sus pies.
We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.
“We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.”
Levántate, Señor, y entra en tu santuario, con el cofre, símbolo de tu poder.
Levántate, oh Jehová, á tu reposo; tú y el arca de tu fortaleza.
Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.
Arise, LORD, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength.
Tus sacerdotes se vestirán de salvación; ¡que tus siervos fieles canten de gozo!
Tus sacerdotes se vistan de justicia, y regocíjense tus santos.
Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
Let your priests be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!
Por amor a tu siervo David, no rechaces al rey que elegiste para tu pueblo.
Por amor de David tu siervo no vuelvas de tu ungido el rostro.
For thy servant David’s sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.
For your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.
El Señor le hizo un juramento a David, y él nunca falta a sus promesas: «Pondré uno de tus descendientes en tu trono.
En verdad juró Jehová á David, no se apartará de ellos: Del fruto de tu vientre pondré sobre tu trono.
The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
The LORD has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.
Si tus hijos cumplen con mi pacto y con las normas que les enseñé, también sus descendientes seguirán en el trono para siempre».
Si tus hijos guardaren mi alianza, y mi testimonio que yo les enseñaré, sus hijos también se sentarán sobre tu trono para siempre.
If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.
If your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forever more.”
Porque el Señor ha escogido a Sion; él decidió que ahí será su hogar:
Porque Jehová ha elegido á Sión; deseóla por habitación para sí.
For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
For the LORD has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.
«Este es mi hogar donde moraré para siempre. Aquí habitaré porque así lo deseo.
Este es mi reposo para siempre: aquí habitaré, porque la he deseado.
This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
“This is my resting place forever. I will live here, for I have desired it.
Bendeciré con creces sus provisiones, y saciaré de pan a sus pobres.
A su mantenimiento daré bendición: sus pobres saciaré de pan.
I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

Vestiré de salvación a sus sacerdotes; sus fieles cantarán de júbilo.
Asimismo vestiré á sus sacerdotes de salud, y sus santos darán voces de júbilo.
I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

Aumentará el poder de David, mi ungido será una luz para mi pueblo.
Allí haré reverdecer el cuerno de David: he prevenido lámpara á mi ungido.
There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

Vestiré de vergüenza a sus enemigos, pero él será un rey glorioso».
A sus enemigos vestiré de confusión: mas sobre él florecerá su corona.
His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will shine.”
