How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Respóndeme, oh Señor, Dios mío. ¡Devuélveles la luz a mis ojos!
Mira, óyeme, Jehová Dios mío: alumbra mis ojos, porque no duerma en muerte;
Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
Behold, and answer me, LORD, my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death;
No permitas que mis enemigos digan: «Lo hemos vencido». No los dejes gozarse por mi derrota.
Porque no diga mi enemigo, Vencílo: mis enemigos se alegrarán, si yo resbalare.
Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

Pero yo, desde ya, confío en tu gran amor. Me gozo porque tú me has salvado.
Mas yo en tu misericordia he confiado: alegraráse mi corazón en tu salud.
