My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

HERR, was ist der Mensch, daß du ihn beachtest, des Menschen Sohn, daß du seiner gedenkst?
Oh Jehová, ¿qué es el hombre, para que de él conozcas? ¿ó el hijo del hombre, para que lo estimes?
LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!

Despide relámpagos, y disípalos; envía tus saetas, y contúrbalos.

Strecke deine Hände aus der Höhe herab, reiß mich heraus und rette mich aus gewaltigen Fluten, aus der Hand der Söhne der Fremde,
Envía tu mano desde lo alto; redímeme, y sácame de las muchas aguas, de la mano de los hijos extraños;
Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
Stretch out your hand from above, rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, out of the hands of foreigners,

Cuya boca habla vanidad, y su diestra es diestra de mentira.

I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
I will sing a new song to you, God. On a ten-stringed lyre, I will sing praises to you.
dir, der den Königen Sieg verleiht, der David, seinen Knecht, entrissen dem mörderischen Schwert.
Tú, el que da salud á los reyes, el que redime á David su siervo de maligna espada.
It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
You are he who gives salvation to kings, who rescues David, his servant, from the deadly sword.
Reiß mich heraus und rette mich aus der Hand der Söhne der Fremde, deren Lippen Lügen reden und deren Rechte mit Täuschung umgeht! –
Redímeme, y sálvame de mano de los hijos extraños, cuya boca habla vanidad, y su diestra es diestra de mentira.
Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
Rescue me, and deliver me out of the hands of foreigners, whose mouths speak deceit, whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
O gib, daß unsere Söhne in ihrer Jugendkraft hochgewachsenen Setzlingen gleichen! Daß unsre Töchter seien wie schöngemeißelte Ecksäulen an prächtig gebauten Palästen!
Que nuestros hijos sean como plantas crecidas en su juventud; nuestras hijas como las esquinas labradas á manera de las de un palacio;
That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:
Then our sons will be like well-nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace.
Daß unsre Speicher, wohlgefüllt, spenden einen Vorrat nach dem andern! Daß unser Kleinvieh sich tausendfach mehre, zehntausendfach auf unsern Triften!
Nuestros graneros llenos, provistos de toda suerte de grano; nuestros ganados, que paran á millares y diez millares en nuestras plazas:
That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:
Our barns are full, filled with all kinds of provision. Our sheep produce thousands and ten thousands in our fields.
Daß unsre Rinder trächtig seien ohne Mißgeschick und ohne Fehlgeburt, keine Spaltung im Volk und kein Wehgeschrei auf unsern Straßen!
Que nuestros bueyes estén fuertes para el trabajo; que no tengamos asalto, ni que hacer salida, ni grito de alarma en nuestras plazas.
That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.
Our oxen will pull heavy loads. There is no breaking in, and no going away, and no outcry in our streets.
Glückselig das Volk, dem es so ergeht! Glückselig das Volk, dessen Gott der HERR ist!
Bienaventurado el pueblo que tiene esto: bienaventurado el pueblo cuyo Dios es Jehová.
Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.
Happy are the people who are in such a situation. Happy are the people whose God is the LORD.
