meine gnädige und sichere Zuflucht, meine Burg und mein Erretter, mein Schild, der mich schützt, der mir auch mein Volk unterwirft!
Misericordia mía y mi castillo, altura mía y mi libertador, escudo mío, en quien he confiado; el que allana mi pueblo delante de mí.
My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

HERR, was ist der Mensch, daß du ihn berücksichtigst, des Menschen Sohn, daß du auf ihn achtest?
Oh Jehová, ¿qué es el hombre, para que de él conozcas? ¿ó el hijo del hombre, para que lo estimes?
LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!
LORD, what is man, that you care for him? Or the son of man, that you think of him?
Der Mensch gleicht einem Hauch, seine Tage sind wie ein Schatten, der vorüberhuscht!
El hombre es semejante á la vanidad: sus días son como la sombra que pasa.
Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.

HERR, neige deinen Himmel und fahre herab! Rühre die Berge an, daß sie rauchen!
Oh Jehová, inclina tus cielos y desciende: toca los montes, y humeen.
Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

Laß blitzen und zerstreue sie, schieße deine Pfeile ab und schrecke sie!
Despide relámpagos, y disípalos; envía tus saetas, y contúrbalos.
Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.

Strecke deine Hand aus von der Höhe; rette mich und reiße mich heraus aus großen Wassern, aus der Hand der Söhne des fremden Landes,
Envía tu mano desde lo alto; redímeme, y sácame de las muchas aguas, de la mano de los hijos extraños;
Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
Stretch out your hand from above, rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, out of the hands of foreigners,
deren Mund Lügen redet und deren Rechte eine betrügliche Rechte ist.
Cuya boca habla vanidad, y su diestra es diestra de mentira.
Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
I will sing a new song to you, God. On a ten-stringed lyre, I will sing praises to you.
der du den Königen Sieg gibst und deinen Knecht David errettest von dem gefährlichen Schwert!
Tú, el que da salud á los reyes, el que redime á David su siervo de maligna espada.
It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
You are he who gives salvation to kings, who rescues David, his servant, from the deadly sword.
Errette mich und reiße mich heraus aus der Hand der Söhne des fremden Landes, deren Mund Lügen redet und deren Rechte eine betrügliche Rechte ist,
Redímeme, y sálvame de mano de los hijos extraños, cuya boca habla vanidad, y su diestra es diestra de mentira.
Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
Rescue me, and deliver me out of the hands of foreigners, whose mouths speak deceit, whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
daß unsre Söhne wie Pflanzen aufwachsen in ihrer Jugend, unsre Töchter wie Ecksäulen seien, gemeißelt nach Bauart eines Palastes;
Que nuestros hijos sean como plantas crecidas en su juventud; nuestras hijas como las esquinas labradas á manera de las de un palacio;
That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:
Then our sons will be like well-nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace.
unsre Speicher gefüllt, Vorräte darzureichen aller Art; daß unsrer Schafe tausend und abertausend werden auf unsern Weiden;
Nuestros graneros llenos, provistos de toda suerte de grano; nuestros ganados, que paran á millares y diez millares en nuestras plazas:
That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:
Our barns are full, filled with all kinds of provision. Our sheep produce thousands and ten thousands in our fields.
daß unsre Rinder trächtig seien, ohne Unfall noch Verlust, daß man nicht zu klagen habe auf unsern Straßen!
Que nuestros bueyes estén fuertes para el trabajo; que no tengamos asalto, ni que hacer salida, ni grito de alarma en nuestras plazas.
That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.
Our oxen will pull heavy loads. There is no breaking in, and no going away, and no outcry in our streets.
Wohl dem Volk, dem es also geht; wohl dem Volk, dessen Gott der HERR ist!
Bienaventurado el pueblo que tiene esto: bienaventurado el pueblo cuyo Dios es Jehová.
Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.
Happy are the people who are in such a situation. Happy are the people whose God is the LORD.
