1Los cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios, el firmamento proclama la obra de sus manos.
2Un día se lo dice a otro día; una noche a otra hace que lo conozcan.
3Hablan sin sonido ni palabra, su voz es silenciosa en los cielos;
4su mensaje se extiende por todo el mundo, hasta los confines de la tierra. El sol, a quien Dios le puso su hogar en el cielo,
5recorre el espacio tan resplandeciente como el novio que viene de su boda, tan alegre como el atleta que espera participar en una carrera.
6Cruza los cielos de un extremo al otro y nada escapa a su calor.
7La ley del Señor es perfecta: infunde nuevo aliento. Sus mandamientos son fieles: dan sabiduría a los sencillos.
8Las normas del Señor son justas: traen alegría al corazón. Los mandamientos del Señor son claros: dan luz a los ojos.
9El temor del Señor es puro: permanece para siempre. Los decretos del Señor son verdaderos y justos.
10Son más deseables que el oro, más que el oro refinado. Son más dulces que la miel que destiló del panal.
11Porque ellos advierten al que los oye y hacen triunfar a quienes los obedecen.
12Pero, ¿cómo podré yo saber qué pecados acechan en mi corazón?
13Purifícame de esas faltas que me son ocultas, y líbrame de cometer maldades voluntariamente; ayúdame para que ellas no me dominen. Sólo así podré estar libre de culpa y de multiplicar mis pecados.
14Que mis palabras y mis más íntimos pensamientos sean agradables a ti; Señor, roca mía y redentor mío.

1Al Músico principal: Salmo de David. LOS cielos cuentan la gloria de Dios, y la expansión denuncia la obra de sus manos.
2El un día emite palabra al otro día, y la una noche á la otra noche declara sabiduría.
3No hay dicho, ni palabras, ni es oída su voz.
4Por toda la tierra salió su hilo, y al cabo del mundo sus palabras. En ellos puso tabernáculo para el sol.
5Y él, como un novio que sale de su tálamo, alégrase cual gigante para correr el camino.
6Del un cabo de los cielos es su salida, y su giro hasta la extremidad de ellos: y no hay quien se esconda de su calor.
7La ley de Jehová es perfecta, que vuelve el alma: el testimonio de Jehová, fiel, que hace sabio al pequeño.
8Los mandamientos de Jehová son rectos, que alegran el corazón: el precepto de Jehová, puro, que alumbra los ojos.
9El temor de Jehová, limpio, que permanece para siempre; los juicios de Jehová son verdad, todos justos.
10Deseables son más que el oro, y más que mucho oro afinado; y dulces más que miel, y que la que destila del panal.
11Tu siervo es además amonestado con ellos: en guardarlos hay grande galardón.
12Los errores, ¿quién los entenderá? Líbrame de los que me son ocultos.
13Detén asimismo á tu siervo de las soberbias; que no se enseñoreen de mí: entonces seré íntegro, y estaré limpio de gran rebelión.
14Sean gratos los dichos de mi boca y la meditación de mi corazón delante de ti, oh Jehová, roca mía, y redentor mío.

1The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

1The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.
2Day after day they pour out speech, and night after night they display knowledge.
3There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.
4Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,
5which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.
6His going out is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends. There is nothing hidden from its heat.
7The LORD’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. The LORD’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple.
8The LORD’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart. The LORD’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever. The LORD’s ordinances are true, and righteous altogether.
10They are more to be desired than gold, yes, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the extract of the honeycomb.
11Moreover your servant is warned by them. In keeping them there is great reward.
12Who can discern his errors? Forgive me from hidden errors.
13Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I will be upright. I will be blameless and innocent of great transgression.
14Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, LORD, my rock, and my redeemer.
