1Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen. HERR, der König freut sich in deiner Kraft, und wie sehr fröhlich ist er über deine Hilfe!
2Du gibst ihm seines Herzens Wunsch und weigerst nicht, was sein Mund bittet. (Sela.)
3Denn du überschüttest ihn mit gutem Segen; du setzt eine goldene Krone auf sein Haupt.
4Er bittet Leben von dir; so gibst du ihm langes Leben immer und ewiglich.
5Er hat große Ehre an deiner Hilfe; du legst Lob und Schmuck auf ihn.
6Denn du setzest ihn zum Segen ewiglich; du erfreuest ihn mit Freude vor deinem Antlitz.
7Denn der König hofft auf den HERRN und wird durch die Güte des HERRN fest bleiben.
8Deine Hand wird finden alle deine Feinde; deine Rechte wird finden, die dich hassen.
9Du wirst sie machen wie ein Feuerofen, wenn du dreinsehen wirst; der HERR wird sie verschlingen in seinem Zorn; Feuer wird sie fressen.
10Ihre Frucht wirst du umbringen vom Erdboden und ihren Samen von den Menschenkindern.
11Denn sie gedachten dir Übles zu tun und machten Anschläge, die sie nicht konnten ausführen.
12Denn du wirst machen, daß sie den Rücken kehren; mit deiner Sehne wirst du gegen ihr Antlitz zielen.
13HERR, erhebe dich in deiner Kraft, so wollen wir singen und loben deine Macht.

2El deseo de su corazón le diste, y no le negaste lo que sus labios pronunciaron. (Selah.)
3Pues le has salido al encuentro con bendiciones de bien: corona de oro fino has puesto sobre su cabeza.
4Vida te demandó, y dístele largura de días por siglos y siglos.
5Grande es su gloria en tu salud: honra y majestad has puesto sobre él.
6Porque lo has bendecido para siempre; llenástelo de alegría con tu rostro.
7Por cuanto el rey confía en Jehová, y en la misericordia del Altísimo, no será conmovido.
8Alcanzará tu mano á todos tus enemigos; tu diestra alcanzará á los que te aborrecen.
9Ponerlos has como horno de fuego en el tiempo de tu ira: Jehová los deshará en su furor, y fuego los consumirá.
10Su fruto destruirás de la tierra, y su simiente de entre los hijos de los hombres.
11Porque trazaron el mal contra ti: fraguaron maquinaciones, mas no prevalecerán.
12Pues tú los pondrás en fuga, cuando aparejares en tus cuerdas las saetas contra sus rostros.
13Ensálzate, oh Jehová, con tu fortaleza: cantaremos y alabaremos tu poderío.

1The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
2Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
3For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
4He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.
5His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
6For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
7For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
8Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
10Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
11For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
12Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
13Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

1The king rejoices in your strength, LORD! How greatly he rejoices in your salvation!
2You have given him his heart’s desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.
3For you meet him with the blessings of goodness. You set a crown of fine gold on his head.
4He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.
5His glory is great in your salvation. You lay honor and majesty on him.
6For you make him most blessed forever. You make him glad with joy in your presence.
7For the king trusts in the LORD. Through the loving kindness of the Most High, he shall not be moved.
8Your hand will find out all of your enemies. Your right hand will find out those who hate you.
9You will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger. The LORD will swallow them up in his wrath. The fire shall devour them.
10You will destroy their descendants from the earth, their posterity from among the children of men.
11For they intended evil against you. They plotted evil against you which cannot succeed.
12For you will make them turn their back, when you aim drawn bows at their face.
13Be exalted, LORD, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.
