Apesar disso, eu sei que o Senhor é o Santo, o rei, o louvor de Israel.

Os nossos antepassados confiaram no Senhor, confiaram e foram libertos.

Pediram a sua ajuda e foram libertos; confiaram no Senhor e não ficaram decepcionados.

Mas eu valho menos que um homem! Não passo de um verme; todos zombam de mim e sou desprezado pelo meu povo.

Os que me veem, caçoam de mim, balançam a cabeça, lançam insultos contra mim, dizendo:

“Não foi ele que jogou sua carga sobre o Senhor? Não é esse que vivia dizendo ser a alegria do Senhor? Pois bem, vamos ver se o Senhor vem salvar a sua vida!”
Remítese á Jehová, líbrelo; sálvele, puesto que en él se complacía.
He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
“He trusts in the LORD. Let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”
O Senhor mesmo cuidou de mim desde o meu nascimento. Cuidou de mim durante a minha infância.
Empero tú eres el que me sacó del vientre, el que me haces esperar desde que estaba á los pechos de mi madre.

Desde que eu nasci pertenço ao Senhor. Quando eu ainda estava no ventre de minha mãe, ele já era o meu Deus.

I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.

Não fique longe de mim, porque a hora da minha aflição está bem perto, e não tenho ninguém para me ajudar.

Estou cercado por inimigos poderosos, fortes como os grandes touros da terra de Basã.
Hanme rodeado muchos toros; fuertes toros de Basán me han cercado.
Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

Eles me atacam com a boca bem aberta, como o leão que ruge e rasga a sua vítima em pedaços.
Abrieron sobre mí su boca, como león rapante y rugiente.
They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.
They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey and roaring.
Minha força escorreu como água; os meus ossos estão todos desconjuntados. O meu coração se derreteu como cera! Perdi a coragem de lutar!
Heme escurrido como aguas, y todos mis huesos se descoyuntaron: mi corazón fué como cera, desliéndose en medio de mis entrañas.

As minhas forças sumiram, secaram como um pedaço de barro ao sol. A minha sede é tanta que a língua fica presa ao céu da boca. Assim o Senhor me deixou deitado no pó, à beira da morte.
Secóse como un tiesto mi vigor, y mi lengua se pegó á mi paladar; y me has puesto en el polvo de la muerte.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

Meus inimigos, um bando de cães, um bando de criminosos, estão me cercando; furaram minhas mãos e meus pés.
Porque perros me han rodeado, hame cercado cuadrilla de malignos: horadaron mis manos y mis pies.
For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
For dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and feet.
Ainda posso contar todos os meus ossos; meus inimigos olham para mim com desprezo.

Repartiram entre si as minhas roupas e lançaram sorte para ver quem ficava com a minha capa.

Ó Senhor, por favor, não fique longe de mim! Ó minha força; venha logo ajudar-me!
Mas tú, Jehová, no te alejes; fortaleza mía, apresúrate para mi ayuda.
But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

Salve-me da espada! Não me deixe ser devorado pelos cães.
Libra de la espada mi alma; del poder del perro mi única.
Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

Louvarei o seu nome diante de todos os meus irmãos. Cantarei louvores ao Senhor quando o povo se reunir para o adorar.
Anunciaré tu nombre á mis hermanos: en medio de la congregación te alabaré.
I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.
I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the assembly, I will praise you.
Direi: “Louvem o Senhor, todos vocês que temem o Senhor! Todos vocês, israelitas, deem glória a ele! Obedeçam e respeitem a Deus, todos vocês, povo de Israel!
Los que teméis á Jehová, alabadle; glorificadle, simiente toda de Jacob; y temed de él, vosotros, simiente toda de Israel.
Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.
You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him! Stand in awe of him, all you descendants of Israel!
Pois ele não desprezou nem abandonou o sofrimento do aflito; mas ouviu e atendeu ao seu pedido de socorro!”
Porque no menospreció ni abominó la aflicción del pobre, ni de él escondió su rostro; sino que cuando clamó á él, oyóle.

Sim, por causa do seu amor eu o louvarei quando o povo se reunir para adorá-lo. Cumprirei as promessas que fiz ao Senhor diante daqueles que o respeitam.
De ti será mi alabanza en la grande congregación; mis votos pagaré delante de los que le temen.
My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.
My praise of you comes in the great assembly. I will pay my vows before those who fear him.
Os pobres terão bastante comida; comerão até ficar satisfeitos. Quem busca o Senhor o louvará. Assim vocês viverão para sempre!
Comerán los pobres, y serán saciados: alabarán á Jehová los que le buscan: vivirá vuestro corazón para siempre.
The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise the LORD who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever.
Os povos da terra, até os mais distantes, se lembrarão e se voltarão para o Senhor. Todas as famílias das nações se curvarão diante dele,
Acordarse han, y volveránse á Jehová todos los términos de la tierra; y se humillarán delante de ti todas las familias de las gentes.
All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD. All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.
pois o Senhor é o Rei de toda a terra. Ele governa as nações do mundo.
Porque de Jehová es el reino; y él se enseñoreará de las gentes.
For the kingdom is the LORD’s: and he is the governor among the nations.

Os ricos também comerão à mesa do Senhor e o adorarão. Todos os homens que descem ao pó se curvarão diante dele com os rostos no chão, todos os que um dia vão morrer.
Comerán y adorarán todos los poderosos de la tierra: postraránse delante de él todos los que descienden al polvo, si bien ninguno puede conservar la vida á su propia alma.
All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.
All the rich ones of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him, even he who can’t keep his soul alive.
Nossos filhos e netos também adorarão o Senhor, porque contaremos a eles os seus grandes feitos.
La posteridad le servirá; será ella contada por una generación de Jehová.
A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
Posterity shall serve him. Future generations shall be told about the Lord.
A sua justiça perfeita será revelada; sua bondade para conosco será contada a um povo que está para nascer.
Vendrán, y anunciarán al pueblo que naciere, su justicia que él hizo.
