1El Señor es mi luz y mi salvación; ¿de Quién temeré ? el Señor es la fuerza de mi vida; a quién habré de temer?
2Cuando los malvados, incluso mis enemigos, vinieron a mí para poner fin a mí, fueron quebrantados y avergonzados.
3Incluso si un ejército viniera y acampe contra mí, mi corazón no tendría miedo: aunque la guerra fuera contra mí, yo permaneceré tranquilo.
4Una oración he hecho al Señor, y este es el deseo de mi corazón; para que tenga un lugar en la casa del Señor todos los días de mi vida, y contemplar la hermosura de su gloria y adorarlo en su Templo.
5Porque en tiempo de angustia me guardará en su tabernáculo; en el lugar secreto de su tabernáculo me guardará de los ojos de los hombres; en lo alto de una roca él me pondrá.
6Y ahora mi cabeza se elevará más que mis enemigos que están a mi alrededor; por eso haré ofrendas de alegría en su tabernáculo; Haré una canción, gritaré de alegría, haré una canción de alabanza al Señor.
7Oh Señor, que la voz de mi clamor llegue a tus oídos; ten misericordia de mí, y dame una respuesta.
8Mi corazón me dijo: “ busca el rostro del Señor” tu rostro buscaré, oh Jehová.
9No escondas tu rostro de mí; no abandones a tu siervo en ira; has sido mi ayuda: no me dejes ni me desampares, oh Dios de mi salvación.
10Aunque mi padre y mi madre se alejan de mí, tu Señor serás mi apoyo.
11Enséñame tu camino, oh Señor, guíame por el camino correcto, a causa de mis enemigos.
12No me entregues en sus manos, porque salieron testigos falsos contra mí y hombres que exhalaban destrucción.
13Casi había renunciado a mi esperanza de ver la bendición del Señor en la tierra de los vivos.
14Que tu esperanza esté en el Señor; toma ánimo y sé fuerte; sí, que tu esperanza esté en el Señor.

1Salmo de David. JEHOVÁ es mi luz y mi salvación: ¿de quién temeré? Jehová es la fortaleza de mi vida: ¿de quién he de atemorizarme?
2Cuando se allegaron contra mí los malignos, mis angustiadores y mis enemigos, para comer mis carnes, ellos tropezaron y cayeron.
3Aunque se asiente campo contra mí, no temerá mi corazón: aunque contra mí se levante guerra, yo en esto confío.
4Una cosa he demandado á Jehová, ésta buscaré: que esté yo en la casa de Jehová todos los días de mi vida, para contemplar la hermosura de Jehová, y para inquirir en su templo.
5Porque él me esconderá en su tabernáculo en el día del mal; ocultaráme en lo reservado de su pabellón; pondráme en alto sobre una roca.
6Y luego ensalzará mi cabeza sobre mis enemigos en derredor de mí: y yo sacrificaré en su tabernáculo sacrificios de júbilo: cantaré y salmearé á Jehová.
7Oye, oh Jehová, mi voz con que á ti clamo; y ten misericordia de mí, respóndeme.
8Mi corazón ha dicho de ti: Buscad mi rostro. Tu rostro buscaré, oh Jehová.
9No escondas tu rostro de mí, no apartes con ira á tu siervo: mi ayuda has sido; no me dejes y no me desampares, Dios de mi salud.
10Aunque mi padre y mi madre me dejaran, Jehová con todo me recogerá.
11Enséñame, oh Jehová, tu camino, y guíame por senda de rectitud, á causa de mis enemigos.
12No me entregues á la voluntad de mis enemigos; porque se han levantado contra mí testigos falsos, y los que respiran crueldad.
13Hubiera yo desmayado, si no creyese que tengo de ver la bondad de Jehová en la tierra de los vivientes.
14Aguarda á Jehová; esfuérzate, y aliéntese tu corazón: sí, espera á Jehová.

1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
6And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
7Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
9Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
11Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
12Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
13I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
World English Bible
1The LORD is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?
2When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.
3Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.
4One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the LORD’s house all the days of my life, to see the LORD’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.
5For in the day of trouble, he will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the secret place of his tabernacle, he will hide me. He will lift me up on a rock.
6Now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me. I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tent. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.
7Hear, LORD, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also on me, and answer me.
8When you said, “Seek my face,” my heart said to you, “I will seek your face, LORD.”
9Don’t hide your face from me. Don’t put your servant away in anger. You have been my help. Don’t abandon me, neither forsake me, God of my salvation.
10When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
11Teach me your way, LORD. Lead me in a straight path, because of my enemies.
12Don’t deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me, such as breathe out cruelty.
13I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14Wait for the LORD. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for the LORD.
