1En ti, oh Señor, he puesto mi esperanza; nunca permitas que sea avergonzado; mantenme a salvo en tu justicia.
2Deje que tu oído se vuelva hacia mí; llévame rápidamente fuera del peligro; sé mi Roca fuerte, mi lugar de fortaleza donde pueda estar a salvo.
3Porque tú eres mi Roca y mi torre fuerte; ve delante de mí y sé mi guía, por tu nombre.
4Sácame de la red que me han preparado en secreto; porque tú eres mi fortaleza.
5En tus manos doy mi espíritu; eres mi salvador, oh Señor Dios de la verdad.
6Estoy lleno de odio por aquellos que persiguen a dioses falsos; pero mi esperanza está en el Señor.
7Me complaceré y me deleitaré en tu amor; porque has visto mi problema; has tenido compasión de mi alma en su aflicción;
8Y no me has entregado en mano de mi enemigo; has puesto mis pies en un lugar seguro.
9Ten misericordia de mí, oh Señor, porque estoy en problemas; mis ojos se pierden de pena, estoy perdido en alma y cuerpo.
10Mi vida continúa con tristeza y mis años de llanto; mi fuerza casi ha desaparecido a causa de mi pecado, y mis huesos se han consumido.
11A causa de todos los que están en mi contra, me he convertido en una palabra de vergüenza para mis vecinos; una causa de sacudir la cabeza y miedo a mis amigos: los que me vieron en la calle huyeron de mí.
12Me han olvidado por completo, como si ya estuviera muerto; Soy como un recipiente roto.
13Declaraciones falsas contra mí han llegado a mis oídos; el miedo estaba en todos lados: estaban hablando en mi contra, diseñando para quitarme la vida.
14Pero tuve fe en ti, oh Señor; Yo dije: Tú eres mi Dios.
15Las posibilidades de mi vida están en tu mano; sácame de las manos de mis enemigos y de los que me persiguen.
16Deja que tu siervo vea la luz de tu rostro; en tu misericordia sé mi salvador.
17No me avergüence, oh SEÑOR, porque a ti clamo; deja que los pecadores se avergüencen, húndelos en el silencio del sepulcro.
18Cierren los labios falsos, que dicen mal contra los rectos, con soberbia y menosprecio.
19¡Cuán grande es tu gracia, que has guardado para los que te temen. y que has mostrado a los que tuvieron fe en ti, delante de los hijos de los hombres!
20Los guardarás seguros en tu casa de la conspiración del hombre; en el secreto de tu tabernáculo los mantendrás alejados de las lenguas enojadas.
21Que el Señor sea alabado, porque me ha mostrado la maravilla de su gracia en una ciudad fortificada.
22Y en cuanto a mí, dije en mi temor, soy cortado de delante de tus ojos; pero tú oíste la voz de mi oración cuando mi clamor fue hacia ti.
23Oh amén a Jehová, todos tus santos; porque el Señor mantiene a salvo del peligro de todos aquellos que son fieles a él, y paga en abundancia a los orgullosos.
24Esfuércense todos ustedes, y den ánimo a sus corazónes, todos ustedes cuya esperanza está en el Señor.

1Al Músico principal: Salmo de David. EN ti, oh Jehová, he esperado; no sea yo confundido para siempre: líbrame en tu justicia.
2Inclina á mí tu oído, líbrame presto; séme por roca de fortaleza, por casa fuerte para salvarme.
3Porque tú eres mi roca y mi castillo; y por tu nombre me guiarás, y me encaminarás.
4Me sacarás de la red que han escondido para mí; porque tú eres mi fortaleza.
5En tu mano encomiendo mi espíritu: tú me has redimido, oh Jehová, Dios de verdad.
6Aborrecí á los que esperan en vanidades ilusorias; mas yo en Jehová he esperado.
7Me gozaré y alegraré en tu misericordia; porque has visto mi aflicción; has conocido mi alma en las angustias.
8Y no me encerraste en mano del enemigo; hiciste estar mis pies en anchura.
9Ten misericordia de mí, oh Jehová, que estoy en angustia: hanse consumido de pesar mis ojos, mi alma, y mis entrañas.
10Porque mi vida se va gastando de dolor, y mis años de suspirar: hase enflaquecido mi fuerza á causa de mi iniquidad, y mis huesos se han consumido.
11De todos mis enemigos he sido oprobio, y de mis vecinos en gran manera, y horror á mis conocidos: los que me veían fuera, huían de mí.
12He sido olvidado de su corazón como un muerto: he venido á ser como un vaso perdido.
13Porque he oído afrenta de muchos; miedo por todas partes, cuando consultaban juntos contra mí, é ideaban quitarme la vida.
14Mas yo en ti confié, oh Jehová: yo dije: Dios mío eres tú.
15En tu mano están mis tiempos: líbrame de la mano de mis enemigos, y de mis perseguidores.
16Haz resplandecer tu rostro sobre tu siervo: sálvame por tu misericordia.
17No sea yo confundido, oh Jehová, ya que te he invocado; sean corridos los impíos, estén mudos en el profundo.
18Enmudezcan los labios mentirosos, que hablan contra el justo cosas duras, con soberbia y menosprecio.
19¡Cuán grande es tu bien, que has guardado para los que te temen, que has obrado para los que esperan en ti, delante de los hijos de los hombres!
20Los esconderás en el secreto de tu rostro de las arrogancias del hombre: los pondrás en un tabernáculo á cubierto de contención de lenguas.
21Bendito Jehová, porque ha hecho maravillosa su misericordia para conmigo en ciudad fuerte.
22Y decía yo en mi premura: Cortado soy de delante de tus ojos: tú empero oíste la voz de mis ruegos, cuando á ti clamaba.
23Amad á Jehová todos vosotros sus santos: á los fieles guarda Jehová, y paga abundantemente al que obra con soberbia.
24Esforzaos todos vosotros los que esperáis en Jehová, y tome vuestro corazón aliento.

1In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
2Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.
3For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.
4Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.
5Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.
6I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.
7I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;
8And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.
9Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.
10For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
11I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.
12I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.
13For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.
14But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.
15My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
16Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies’ sake.
17Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.
18Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.
19Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
20Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
21Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.
22For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.
23O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
24Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
World English Bible
1In you, LORD, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed. Deliver me in your righteousness.
2Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be to me a strong rock, a house of defense to save me.
3For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me.
4Pluck me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me, for you are my stronghold.
5Into your hand I commend my spirit. You redeem me, LORD, God of truth.
6I hate those who regard lying vanities, but I trust in the LORD.
7I will be glad and rejoice in your loving kindness, for you have seen my affliction. You have known my soul in adversities.
8You have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy. You have set my feet in a large place.
9Have mercy on me, LORD, for I am in distress. My eye, my soul, and my body waste away with grief.
10For my life is spent with sorrow, my years with sighing. My strength fails because of my iniquity. My bones are wasted away.
11Because of all my adversaries I have become utterly contemptible to my neighbors, a horror to my acquaintances. Those who saw me on the street fled from me.
12I am forgotten from their hearts like a dead man. I am like broken pottery.
13For I have heard the slander of many, terror on every side, while they conspire together against me, they plot to take away my life.
14But I trust in you, LORD. I said, “You are my God.”
15My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.
16Make your face to shine on your servant. Save me in your loving kindness.
17Let me not be disappointed, LORD, for I have called on you. Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol.
18Let the lying lips be mute, which speak against the righteous insolently, with pride and contempt.
19Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men!
20In the shelter of your presence you will hide them from the plotting of man. You will keep them secretly in a dwelling away from the strife of tongues.
21Praise be to the LORD, for he has shown me his marvelous loving kindness in a strong city.
22As for me, I said in my haste, “I am cut off from before your eyes.” Nevertheless you heard the voice of my petitions when I cried to you.
23Oh love the LORD, all you his saints! The LORD preserves the faithful, and fully recompenses him who behaves arrogantly.
24Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the LORD.
