Salmo de David. DISPUTA, oh Jehová, con los que contra mí contienden; pelea con los que me combaten.
Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

Ponte tu armadura, toma tu escudo y acude en mi ayuda. Protégeme poniéndote enfrente.

Empuña tu lanza y tu jabalina en mi defensa, haz frente a mis perseguidores. Quiero oírte decir: Yo soy tu salvación.

Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, “I am your salvation.”
Afrenta a quienes intentan matarme; recházalos y confúndelos.
Avergüéncense y confúndanse los que buscan mi alma: vuelvan atrás, y sean avergonzados los que mi mal intentan.
Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
Let those who seek after my soul be disappointed and brought to dishonor. Let those who plot my ruin be turned back and confounded.
Espárcelos con tu soplo como paja en el viento; viento que el ángel del Señor envía.
Sean como el tamo delante del viento; y el ángel de Jehová los acose.

Pues aunque ningún mal les hice, me tendieron una trampa y aunque ningún mal les hice, cavaron una fosa para mí.

For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.

Que les sobrevenga ruina súbita. Que caigan en su propia trampa, en la fosa que ellos cavaron para mí.
Véngale el quebrantamiento que no sepa, y su red que escondió lo prenda: con quebrantamiento en ella caiga.
Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

Pero yo me regocijaré en el Señor. Él me librará.
Y gócese mi alma en Jehová; y alégrese en su salud.

De lo profundo de mi corazón sube esta alabanza: «¿Quién como tú, Señor? ¿Qué otro protege del fuerte al débil y desvalido, y al pobre y menesteroso de quienes desean despojarlos?».
Todos mis huesos dirán: Jehová, ¿quién como tú, que libras al afligido del más fuerte que él, y al pobre y menesteroso del que le despoja?
All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?
All my bones shall say, “LORD, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?”
Estos malvados juran en falso. Me acusan de cosas que yo ignoro.
Levantáronse testigos falsos; demandáronme lo que no sabía;
False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.
Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don’t know about.
Les hago el bien, y me pagan con mal. Estoy enfermo por la desesperación.
Volviéronme mal por bien, para abatir á mi alma.
They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.
They reward me evil for good, to the bereaving of my soul.
En cambio, cuando ellos estuvieron enfermos, lloré ante el Señor, me vestí de luto, rogándole que los sanara; estuve ayunando; oré por ellos con todo el corazón pero Dios no escuchó.
Mas yo, cuando ellos enfermaron, me vestí de saco; afligí con ayuno mi alma, y mi oración se revolvía en mi seno.

Anduve triste como si se tratara de mi madre, de mi amigo o mi hermano que estuviera enfermo y agonizante.
Como por mi compañero, como por mi hermano andaba; como el que trae luto por madre, enlutado me humillaba.
I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

Y ahora que estoy en tribulación, ellos se alegran; se reúnen a calumniarme; y yo ni siquiera conocía a algunos de los que allí estaban.

Se burlan de mí y me maldicen, y contra mí rechinan los dientes.
Con los lisonjeros escarnecedores truhanes, crujiendo sobre mí sus dientes.
With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
Like the profane mockers in feasts, they gnashed their teeth at me.
Señor, ¿hasta cuándo te vas a quedar allí, sin hacer nada? Intervén ahora y líbrame, porque sólo tengo una vida, y estos leones están prontos a devorarla.
Señor, ¿hasta cuándo verás esto? Recobra mi alma de sus quebrantamientos, mi única de los leones.
Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.

Sálvame, y manifestaré mi gratitud ante toda la congregación, ante la multitud te alabaré.
Te confesaré en grande congregación; te alabaré entre numeroso pueblo.
I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

¡No permitas a mis enemigos gozarse sobre mi derrota! No dejes que se sonrían burlonamente los que me odian sin motivo,
No se alegren de mí mis enemigos injustos: ni los que me aborrecen sin causa hagan del ojo.
Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.
Don’t let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those who hate me without a cause wink their eyes.
pues no hablan de paz ni de hacer el bien, sino de tramar contra los inocentes que no se meten con los demás.
Porque no hablan paz; y contra los mansos de la tierra piensan palabras engañosas.
For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.
For they don’t speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.
A gritos afirman haberme visto hacer el mal. «¡Ajá!», dicen, «con nuestros propios ojos te vimos hacerlo».
Y ensancharon sobre mí su boca; dijeron: ¡Ea, ea, nuestros ojos lo han visto!
Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.

Señor, tú lo sabes todo. ¡No te calles! ¡No me abandones ahora!
Tú lo has visto, oh Jehová; no calles: Señor, de mí no te alejes.
This thou hast seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.
You have seen it, LORD. Don’t keep silent. Lord, don’t be far from me.
¡Despierta, Señor, Dios mío! ¡Vindícame!
Muévete y despierta para mi juicio, para mi causa, Dios mío y Señor mío.
Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.
Wake up! Rise up to defend me, my God! My Lord, contend for me!
Declárame inocente, porque tú eres justo. No dejes que mis enemigos se regocijen por mi tribulación.
Júzgame conforme á tu justicia, Jehová Dios mío; y no se alegren de mí.
Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
Vindicate me, LORD my God, according to your righteousness. Don’t let them gloat over me.
No permitas que digan: «¡Ajá! ¡Nuestro mayor deseo contra él pronto será realidad! ¡Nos lo hemos tragado vivo!».
No digan en su corazón: ¡Ea, alma nuestra! No digan: ¡Hémoslo devorado!
Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
Don’t let them say in their heart, “Aha! That’s the way we want it!” Don’t let them say, “We have swallowed him up!”
Avergüénzalos; haz que quienes alardean a costa mía y se gozan de mis tribulaciones sean agobiados por la desgracia. Despoja hasta la deshonra a todos los que se creen más que yo.
Avergüéncense, y sean confundidos á una los que de mi mal se alegran: vístanse de vergüenza y de confusión los que se engrandecen contra mí.
Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.
Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.
Pero concede gran gozo a los que me desean el bien. Que clamen ellos con júbilo: «¡Grande es el Señor que se deleita en auxiliar a su siervo!».
Canten y alégrense los que están á favor de mi justa causa, y digan siempre: Sea ensalzado Jehová, que ama la paz de su siervo.
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
Let those who favor my righteous cause shout for joy and be glad. Yes, let them say continually, “May the LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!”
Y yo proclamaré ante todos cuán grande y bueno eres tú; te alabaré todo el día.
Y mi lengua hablará de tu justicia, y de tu loor todo el día.
And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
My tongue shall talk about your righteousness and about your praise all day long.
