1Von David. Erzürne dich nicht über die Übeltäter, beneide nicht die, welche Unrecht tun!
2Denn wie das Gras werden sie schnell vergehen, und wie das grüne Kraut verwelken.
3Vertraue auf Jehova und tue Gutes; wohne im Lande und weide dich an Treue;
4und ergötze dich an Jehova: so wird er dir geben die Bitten deines Herzens.
5Befiehl Jehova deinen Weg und vertraue auf ihn! Und er wird handeln;
6und er wird deine Gerechtigkeit hervorkommen lassen wie das Licht, und dein Recht wie den Mittag.
7Vertraue still dem Jehova und harre auf ihn! Erzürne dich nicht über den, dessen Weg gelingt, über den Mann, der böse Anschläge ausführt!
8Stehe ab vom Zorn und laß den Grimm! Erzürne dich nicht! Nur zum Übeltun verleitet es.
9Denn die Übeltäter werden ausgerottet werden; aber die auf Jehova hoffen, diese werden das Land besitzen.
10Und noch um ein Kleines, und der Gesetzlose ist nicht mehr; und siehst du dich um nach seiner Stätte, so ist er nicht da.
11Aber die Sanftmütigen werden das Land besitzen, und werden sich ergötzen an Fülle von Wohlfahrt.
12Der Gesetzlose sinnt wider den Gerechten, und mit seinen Zähnen knirscht er wider ihn.
13Der Herr lacht seiner, denn er sieht, daß sein Tag kommt.
14Die Gesetzlosen haben das Schwert gezogen und ihren Bogen gespannt, um zu fällen den Elenden und den Armen, hinzuschlachten, die in Geradheit wandeln.
15Ihr Schwert wird in ihr eigenes Herz dringen, und ihre Bogen werden zerbrochen werden.
16Besser das Wenige des Gerechten als der Überfluß vieler Gesetzlosen.
17Denn die Arme der Gesetzlosen werden zerbrochen werden, aber Jehova stützt die Gerechten.
18Jehova kennt die Tage derer, die lauter sind, und ihr Erbteil wird ewig sein;
19sie werden nicht beschämt werden in der Zeit des Übels, und in den Tagen des Hungers werden sie gesättigt werden.
20Denn die Gesetzlosen werden umkommen, und die Feinde Jehovas sind wie die Pracht der Auen; sie schwinden, sie schwinden dahin wie Rauch.
21Der Gesetzlose borgt und erstattet nicht wieder; der Gerechte aber ist gnädig und gibt.
22Denn die von ihm Gesegneten werden das Land besitzen, und die von ihm Verfluchten werden ausgerottet werden.
23Von Jehova werden befestigt des Mannes Schritte, und an seinem Wege hat er Wohlgefallen;
24wenn er fällt, wird er nicht hingestreckt werden, denn Jehova stützt seine Hand.
25Ich war jung und bin auch alt geworden, und nie sah ich den Gerechten verlassen, noch seinen Samen nach Brot gehen;
26den ganzen Tag ist er gnädig und leiht, und sein Same wird gesegnet sein.
27Weiche vom Bösen und tue Gutes, und bleibe ewiglich!
28Denn Jehova liebt das Recht und wird seine Frommen nicht verlassen; ewig werden sie bewahrt, aber der Same der Gesetzlosen wird ausgerottet.
29Die Gerechten werden das Land besitzen und werden darin wohnen immerdar.
30Der Mund des Gerechten spricht Weisheit aus, und seine Zunge redet das Recht;
31das Gesetz seines Gottes ist in seinem Herzen, seine Schritte werden nicht wanken.
32Der Gesetzlose lauert auf den Gerechten und sucht ihn zu töten;
33Jehova wird ihn nicht in seiner Hand lassen, und ihn nicht verdammen, wenn er gerichtet wird.
34Harre auf Jehova und bewahre seinen Weg, und er wird dich erhöhen, das Land zu besitzen. Wenn die Gesetzlosen ausgerottet werden, wirst du zusehen.
35Ich habe einen Gesetzlosen gesehen, der gewaltig war, und der sich ausbreitete wie ein nicht verpflanzter grüner Baum;
36und man ging vorbei, und siehe, er war nicht mehr; und ich suchte ihn, und er ward nicht gefunden.
37Achte auf den Unsträflichen und sieh auf den Aufrichtigen; denn für den Mann des Friedens gibt es eine Zukunft.
38Die Übertreter aber werden vertilgt allesamt, es wird abgeschnitten die Zukunft der Gesetzlosen.
39Aber die Rettung der Gerechten ist von Jehova, der ihre Stärke ist zur Zeit der Bedrängnis;
40und Jehova wird ihnen helfen und sie erretten; er wird sie erretten von den Gesetzlosen und ihnen Rettung verschaffen, denn sie trauen auf ihn.

1Salmo de David. NO te impacientes á causa de los malignos, ni tengas envidia de los que hacen iniquidad.
2Porque como hierba serán presto cortados, y decaerán como verdor de renuevo.
3Espera en Jehová, y haz bien; vivirás en la tierra, y en verdad serás alimentado.
4Pon asimismo tu delicia en Jehová, y él te dará las peticiones de tu corazón.
5Encomienda á Jehová tu camino, y espera en él; y él hará.
6Y exhibirá tu justicia como la luz, y tus derechos como el medio día.
7Calla á Jehová, y espera en él: no te alteres con motivo del que prospera en su camino, por el hombre que hace maldades.
8Déjate de la ira, y depón el enojo: no te excites en manera alguna á hacer lo malo.
9Porque los malignos serán talados, mas los que esperan en Jehová, ellos heredarán la tierra.
10Pues de aquí á poco no será el malo: y contemplarás sobre su lugar, y no parecerá.
11Pero los mansos heredarán la tierra, y se recrearán con abundancia de paz.
12Maquina el impío contra el justo, y cruje sobre él sus dientes.
13El Señor se reirá de él; porque ve que viene su día.
14Los impíos desenvainaron espada, y entesaron su arco, para derribar al pobre y al menesteroso, para matar á los de recto proceder.
15La espada de ellos entrará en su mismo corazón, y su arco será quebrado.
16Mejor es lo poco del justo, que las riquezas de muchos pecadores.
17Porque los brazos de los impíos serán quebrados: mas el que sostiene á los justos es Jehová.
18Conoce Jehová los días de los perfectos: y la heredad de ellos será para siempre.
19No serán avergonzados en el mal tiempo; y en los días de hambre serán hartos.
20Mas los impíos perecerán, y los enemigos de Jehová como la grasa de los carneros serán consumidos: se disiparán como humo.
21El impío toma prestado, y no paga; mas el justo tiene misericordia, y da.
22Porque los benditos de él heredarán la tierra; y los malditos de él serán talados.
23Por Jehová son ordenados los pasos del hombre, y aprueba su camino.
24Cuando cayere, no quedará postrado; porque Jehová sostiene su mano.
25Mozo fuí, y he envejecido, y no he visto justo desamparado, ni su simiente que mendigue pan.
26En todo tiempo tiene misericordia, y presta; y su simiente es para bendición.
27Apártate del mal, y haz el bien, y vivirás para siempre.
28Porque Jehová ama la rectitud, y no desampara sus santos: para siempre serán guardados; mas la simiente de los impíos será extirpada.
29Los justos heredarán la tierra, y vivirán para siempre sobre ella.
30La boca del justo hablará sabiduría; y su lengua proferirá juicio.
31La ley de su Dios está en su corazón; por tanto sus pasos no vacilarán.
32Acecha el impío al justo, y procura matarlo.
33Jehová no lo dejará en sus manos, ni lo condenará cuando le juzgaren.
34Espera en Jehová, y guarda su camino, y él te ensalzará para heredar la tierra: cuando serán talados los pecadores, lo verás.
35Vi yo al impío sumamente ensalzado, y que se extendía como un laurel verde.
36Empero pasóse, y he aquí no parece; y busquélo, y no fué hallado.
37Considera al íntegro, y mira al justo: que la postrimería de cada uno de ellos es paz.
38Mas los transgresores fueron todos á una destruídos: la postrimería de los impíos fué talada.
39Pero la salvación de los justos es de Jehová, y él es su fortaleza en el tiempo de angustia.
40Y Jehová los ayudará, y los librará: y libertarálos de los impíos, y los salvará, por cuanto en él esperaron.

1Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
10For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
11But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
14The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
15Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
17For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.
18The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
21The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
22For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
23The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
24Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
25I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
27Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
30The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
31The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
32The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
35I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
36Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
38But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
39But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
40And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

1Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness.
2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb.
3Trust in the LORD, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.
4Also delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this:
6he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun.
7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret; it leads only to evildoing.
9For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land.
10For yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Yes, though you look for his place, he isn’t there.
11But the humble shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.
13The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.
14The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright on the path.

21The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.
22For such as are blessed by him shall inherit the land. Those who are cursed by him shall be cut off.
23A man’s steps are established by the LORD. He delights in his way.
24Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for the LORD holds him up with his hand.
