Toi, mon Dieu protecteur, pourquoi me repousses-tu? Pourquoi dois-je marcher dans la tristesse, Sous l’oppression de l’ennemi?

Pues que tú eres el Dios de mi fortaleza, ¿por qué me has desechado? ¿por qué andaré enlutado por la opresión del enemigo?

For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

For you are the God of my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
