obgleich du uns zermalmt hast am Orte der Schakale, und uns bedeckt mit dem Schatten des Todes.

Cuando nos quebrantaste en el lugar de los dragones, y nos cubriste con sombra de muerte,

Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.

though you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.
