O Gott, mit eignen Ohren haben wir’s gehört,</title> unsre Väter haben’s uns erzählt, was du Großes in ihren Tagen vollführt hast, in den Tagen der Vorzeit.

Tú con tu mano echaste las gentes, y los plantaste á ellos; afligiste los pueblos, y los arrojaste.

How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.

You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.
