O Dieu! De nos oreilles nous l’avons entendue, nos pères nous l’ont racontée, l’œuvre que tu as accomplie de leurs jours, aux temps antiques.

Tú con tu mano echaste las gentes, y los plantaste á ellos; afligiste los pueblos, y los arrojaste.

How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.

You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.
