Con tu propia mano expulsaste a las naciones para plantarlos a ellos; aplastaste a los pueblos para hacerlos prosperar.

How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.
Porque no conquistaron la tierra con su espada, ni fue su propio brazo el que los salvó, sino que fue tu mano derecha, tu brazo y la luz de tu rostro, porque les mostraste tu favor.

For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.

Por ti derribaremos a nuestros adversarios; en tu nombre aplastaremos a los que se levantan contra nosotros.
Por medio de ti sacudiremos á nuestros enemigos: en tu nombre atropellaremos á nuestros adversarios.
Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.

Yo no confío en mi arco, ni puede mi espada darme la victoria.

Pero ahora nos has rechazado y humillado; ya no sales a la batalla con nuestros ejércitos.

Vendes a tu pueblo por una miseria, y no ganas nada con su venta.
Has vendido tu pueblo de balde, y no pujaste en sus precios.
Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.
You sell your people for nothing, and have gained nothing from their sale.
Nos conviertes en el hazmerreír de nuestros vecinos, en objeto de burla y de desprecio de los que nos rodean.
Pusístenos por vergüenza á nuestros vecinos, por escarnio y por burla á los que nos rodean.
Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and a derision to those who are around us.
Nos has vuelto el refrán de las naciones; todos los pueblos menean la cabeza al vernos.
Pusístenos por proverbio entre las gentes, por movimiento de cabeza en los pueblos.
Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.
Mi deshonra me acompaña todo el día, y la vergüenza me cubre el rostro,
Cada día mi vergüenza está delante de mí, y cúbreme la confusión de mi rostro,
My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,
All day long my dishonor is before me, and shame covers my face,
por las burlas de los que me insultan y me ofenden, por culpa del enemigo y del vengador.

For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.

Todo esto nos ha sucedido, aunque no te habíamos olvidado. No habíamos faltado a tu pacto.

All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.

Nuestra alma está hundida en el polvo; nuestro cuerpo se arrastra por el suelo.

For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.
