To the chief musician, for the sons of Korach, a Maskil.(44:2) O God, with our ears have we heard, our fathers have told us, deeds which thou hadst done in their days, in times of old.
Al Músico principal: de los hijos de Coré: Masquil. OH Dios, con nuestros oídos hemos oído, nuestros padres nos han contado, la obra que hiciste en sus días, en los tiempos antiguos.
We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.

(44:3) Thou, with thy hand, didst indeed drive out nations, and plant them; thou didst illtreat people, and cause them to spread out.
Tú con tu mano echaste las gentes, y los plantaste á ellos; afligiste los pueblos, y los arrojaste.
How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.
(44:4) For not by their sword did they obtain possession of the land, and their own arm brought them no victory; but thy right hand, and thy arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst given them thy favor.
Porque no se apoderaron de la tierra por su espada, ni su brazo los libró; sino tu diestra, y tu brazo, y la luz de tu rostro, porque te complaciste en ellos.
For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, because you were favorable to them.
(44:5) Thou art my King, O God: ordain salvation for Jacob.
Tú, oh Dios, eres mi rey: manda saludes á Jacob.
Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
God, you are my King. Command victories for Jacob!
(44:6) Through thee will we butt down our assailants: through thy name will we tread under foot our opponents.
Por medio de ti sacudiremos á nuestros enemigos: en tu nombre atropellaremos á nuestros adversarios.
Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
Through you, we will push down our adversaries. Through your name, we will tread down those who rise up against us.
(44:7) For not in my bow will I trust, and my sword shall not help me.
Porque no confiaré en mi arco, ni mi espada me salvará.
For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
For I will not trust in my bow, neither will my sword save me.
(44:8) But thou helpest us against our assailants, and those that hate us thou puttest to shame.
Pues tú nos has guardado de nuestros enemigos, y has avergonzado á los que nos aborrecían.
But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.
But you have saved us from our adversaries, and have shamed those who hate us.
(44:9) Of God we boast all the day, and to thy name will we give thanks for ever. Selah.
En Dios nos gloriaremos todo tiempo, y para siempre loaremos tu nombre. (Selah.)
In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.
In God we have made our boast all day long. We will give thanks to your name forever. Selah.
(44:10) But now thou hast cast off, and put us to the blush, and goest not forth with our armies.
Empero nos has desechado, y nos has hecho avergonzar; y no sales en nuestros ejércitos.
But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.
But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor, and don’t go out with our armies.
(44:11) Thou causest us to turn back from before our assailant: and they who hate us take spoil for themselves.
Nos hiciste retroceder del enemigo, y saqueáronnos para sí los que nos aborrecían.
Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.
You make us turn back from the adversary. Those who hate us take plunder for themselves.
(44:12) Thou givest us up like sheep for food, and among the nations hast thou dispersed us.
Pusístenos como á ovejas para comida, y esparcístenos entre las gentes.
Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.
You have made us like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.
(44:13) Thou sellest thy people for no value, and acquirest no gain by their price.
Has vendido tu pueblo de balde, y no pujaste en sus precios.
Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.
You sell your people for nothing, and have gained nothing from their sale.
(44:14) Thou renderest us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to those that are round about us.
Pusístenos por vergüenza á nuestros vecinos, por escarnio y por burla á los que nos rodean.
Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and a derision to those who are around us.
(44:15) Thou renderest us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the people.
Pusístenos por proverbio entre las gentes, por movimiento de cabeza en los pueblos.
Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.
(44:16) All the day is my disgrace before me, and the shame of my face covereth me;
Cada día mi vergüenza está delante de mí, y cúbreme la confusión de mi rostro,
My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,
All day long my dishonor is before me, and shame covers my face,
(44:17) Because of the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and him that seeketh vengeance.
Por la voz del que me vitupera y deshonra, por razón del enemigo y del que se venga.
For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.
at the taunt of one who reproaches and verbally abuses, because of the enemy and the avenger.
(44:18) All this is come over us, yet have we not forgotten thee; nor have we dealt falsely by thy covenant;
Todo esto nos ha venido, y no nos hemos olvidado de ti; y no hemos faltado á tu pacto.
All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
All this has come on us, yet we haven’t forgotten you. We haven’t been false to your covenant.
(44:19) Our heart is not moved backward, nor hath our step turned aside from thy path:
No se ha vuelto atrás nuestro corazón, ni tampoco se han apartado nuestros pasos de tus caminos.
Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;
Our heart has not turned back, neither have our steps strayed from your path,
(44:20) Even when thou didst crush us in the abode of monsters, and cover us with the shadow of death.
Cuando nos quebrantaste en el lugar de los dragones, y nos cubriste con sombra de muerte,
Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.
though you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.
(44:21) If we had forgotten the name of our God, or spread forth our hands to a strange God:
Si nos hubiésemos olvidado del nombre de nuestro Dios, ó alzado nuestras manos á dios ajeno,
If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
If we have forgotten the name of our God, or spread out our hands to a strange god,
(44:22) Would not God search out this? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
¿No demandaría Dios esto? porque él conoce los secretos del corazón.
Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

(44:23) But for thy sake are we slain all the day; we are counted as flocks destined for slaughter.
Empero por tu causa nos matan cada día; somos tenidos como ovejas para el matadero.
Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
Yes, for your sake we are killed all day long. We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.
(44:24) Awake, wherefore wilt thou sleep, O Lord? arise, abandon us not for ever.
Despierta; ¿por qué duermes, Señor? Despierta, no te alejes para siempre.
Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
Wake up! Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise! Don’t reject us forever.
(44:25) Wherefore wilt thou hide thy face, wilt thou forget our misery, and our oppression?
¿Por qué escondes tu rostro, y te olvidas de nuestra aflicción, y de la opresión nuestra?
Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
Why do you hide your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?
(44:26) For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our body cleaveth unto the earth.
Porque nuestra alma está agobiada hasta el polvo: nuestro vientre está pegado con la tierra.
For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.
For our soul is bowed down to the dust. Our body clings to the earth.
(44:27) Arise unto our help, and redeem us for the sake of thy kindness.
Levántate para ayudarnos, y redímenos por tu misericordia.
Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies’ sake.
Rise up to help us. Redeem us for your loving kindness’ sake.
