Tu mano extirpó de esta tierra las naciones, y los plantaste a ellos; tú abatiste aquellos pueblos, y los expeliste.

How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.
Porque no conquistaron este país con su espada, y no fue su brazo el que los salvó; sino tu diestra y tu brazo, y la luz emanada de tu rostro; porque te complaciste en ellos.

Con tu ayuda arrojaremos al aire y voltearemos a nuestros enemigos, y en tu Nombre despreciaremos a los que se levantan contra nosotros.
Por medio de ti sacudiremos á nuestros enemigos: en tu nombre atropellaremos á nuestros adversarios.
Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
Through you, we will push down our adversaries. Through your name, we will tread down those who rise up against us.
Que no confiaré yo en mi arco, ni me salvará mi espada.

Pues tú salvaste de los que nos afligían, y tú confundiste a los que nos odiaban.

Mas ahora nos has desechado y cubierto de confusión; y ya no sales, oh Dios, al frente de nuestros ejércitos.

Nos entregaste como ovejas para el matadero, y nos has dispersado entre las naciones.

Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.
You have made us like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.
Has vendido a tu pueblo de balde; y no hubo concurrencia en su mercado o venta.
Has vendido tu pueblo de balde, y no pujaste en sus precios.
Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.
You sell your people for nothing, and have gained nothing from their sale.
Nos has hecho objeto de oprobio para nuestros vecinos, la mofa y el escarnio de los que nos rodean.
Pusístenos por vergüenza á nuestros vecinos, por escarnio y por burla á los que nos rodean.
Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and a derision to those who are around us.
Has hecho que seamos la fábula de las naciones y el ludibrio de los pueblos.
Pusístenos por proverbio entre las gentes, por movimiento de cabeza en los pueblos.
Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.
Todo el día tengo delante de los ojos mi ignominia, y está mi rostro cubierto de confusión,
Cada día mi vergüenza está delante de mí, y cúbreme la confusión de mi rostro,
My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,
All day long my dishonor is before me, and shame covers my face,
oyendo la voz del que me zahiere y llena de vituperios, y viendo triunfante a mi enemigo y perseguidor.
Por la voz del que me vitupera y deshonra, por razón del enemigo y del que se venga.
For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.

¿por ventura Dios no nos pedirá cuenta de estas cosas? Porque él conoce los secretos del corazón.

¿Por qué escondes tu rostro, y te olvidas de nuestra aflicción, y de la opresión nuestra?
Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
Why do you hide your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?
Porque nuestra alma está humillada hasta el polvo; y estamos postrados en tierra, pegado nuestro pecho al suelo.
Porque nuestra alma está agobiada hasta el polvo: nuestro vientre está pegado con la tierra.
For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.

Levántate, ¡oh Señor!, socórrenos; y redímenos por amor de tu Nombre.
