My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
My heart overflows with a noble theme. I recite my verses for the king. My tongue is like the pen of a skillful writer.
(045-3) Du bist schöner als die Menschenkinder, Anmut ist über deine Lippen ausgegossen, weil Gott dich auf ewig gesegnet hat!
Haste hermoseado más que los hijos de los hombres; la gracia se derramó en tus labios: por tanto Dios te ha bendecido para siempre.
Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
You are the most excellent of the sons of men. Grace has anointed your lips, therefore God has blessed you forever.
(045-4) Gürte dein Schwert an die Seite, du Held, deine Ehre und deine Pracht!
Cíñete tu espada sobre el muslo, oh valiente, con tu gloria y con tu majestad.
Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
Strap your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your splendor and your majesty.
(045-5) Fahre siegreich einher für die Sache der Wahrheit, der Milde und Gerechtigkeit, und deine Rechte lehre dich wunderbare Dinge!
Y en tu gloria sé prosperado: cabalga sobre palabra de verdad, y de humildad, y de justicia; y tu diestra te enseñará cosas terribles.
And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
In your majesty ride on victoriously on behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness. Let your right hand display awesome deeds.
(045-6) Deine Pfeile sind scharf, sie unterwerfen dir die Völker; sie dringen ins Herz der Feinde des Königs.
Tus saetas agudas con que caerán pueblos debajo de ti, penetrarán en el corazón de los enemigos del Rey.
Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
Your arrows are sharp. The nations fall under you, with arrows in the heart of the king’s enemies.
(045-7) Dein Thron, o Gott, bleibt immer und ewig, das Zepter deines Reiches ist ein gerades Zepter!
Tu trono, oh Dios, eterno y para siempre: vara de justicia la vara de tu reino.
Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
Your throne, God, is forever and ever. A scepter of equity is the scepter of your kingdom.
(045-8) Du liebst die Gerechtigkeit und hassest das gottlose Wesen, darum hat dich, o Gott, dein Gott gesalbt mit dem Öl der Freuden mehr als deine Genossen.
Amaste la justicia y aborreciste la maldad: por tanto te ungió Dios, el Dios tuyo, con óleo de gozo sobre tus compañeros.
Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
You have loved righteousness, and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.
(045-9) Nach Myrrhen, Aloe und Kassia riechen deine Kleider; aus elfenbeinernen Palästen erfreut dich Saitenspiel.
Mirra, áloe, y casia exhalan todos tus vestidos: en estancias de marfil te han recreado.
All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
All your garments smell like myrrh, aloes, and cassia. Out of ivory palaces stringed instruments have made you glad.
(045-10) Königstöchter sind unter deinen Geliebten; die Gemahlin steht zu deiner Rechten in Gold von Ophir.
Hijas de reyes entre tus ilustres: está la reina á tu diestra con oro de Ophir.
Kings’ daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
Kings’ daughters are among your honorable women. At your right hand the queen stands in gold of Ophir.
(045-11) Höre, Tochter, blicke her und neige dein Ohr, vergiß dein Volk und deines Vaters Haus!
Oye, hija, y mira, é inclina tu oído; y olvida tu pueblo, y la casa de tu padre;
Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house;
Listen, daughter, consider, and turn your ear. Forget your own people, and also your father’s house.
(045-12) Und wird der König Lust haben an deiner Schönheit (denn er ist dein Herr), so huldige ihm.
Y deseará el rey tu hermosura: é inclínate á él, porque él es tu Señor.
So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
So the king will desire your beauty, honor him, for he is your lord.
(045-13) Und die Tochter von Tyrus wird mit Geschenken kommen, die Reichsten des Volkes deine Gunst suchen.
Y las hijas de Tiro vendrán con presente; implorarán tu favor los ricos del pueblo.
And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.
The daughter of Tyre comes with a gift. The rich among the people entreat your favor.
(045-14) Ganz herrlich ist die Königstochter drinnen, von gewirktem Gold ist ihr Gewand.
Toda ilustre es de dentro la hija del rey: de brocado de oro es su vestido.
The king’s daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
The princess inside is all glorious. Her clothing is interwoven with gold.
(045-15) In gestickten Kleidern wird sie dem König zugeführt; die Jungfrauen, die sie begleiten, ihre Gespielinnen, werden zu dir gebracht.
Con vestidos bordados será llevada al rey; vírgenes en pos de ella: sus compañeras serán traídas á ti.
She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
She shall be led to the king in embroidered work. The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to you.
(045-16) Man führt sie mit Freuden und Frohlocken, und sie gehen ein in des Königs Palast.
Serán traídas con alegría y gozo: entrarán en el palacio del rey.
With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king’s palace.
With gladness and rejoicing they shall be led. They shall enter into the king’s palace.
(045-17) An deiner Väter Statt werden deine Söhne treten, du wirst sie zu Fürsten setzen im ganzen Land.
En lugar de tus padres serán tus hijos, á quienes harás príncipes en toda la tierra.
Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.
Your sons will take the place of your fathers. You shall make them princes in all the earth.
(045-18) Ich will deinen Namen erwähnen für und für; darum werden dich die Völker preisen immer und ewiglich.
Haré perpetua la memoria de tu nombre en todas las generaciones: por lo cual te alabarán los pueblos eternamente y para siempre.
I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
I will make your name to be remembered in all generations. Therefore the peoples shall give you thanks forever and ever.
