Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:
Hear this, all you peoples. Listen, all you inhabitants of the world,
Vous tous peuples, entendez ceci ; vous habitants du monde, prêtez l’oreille.
Así los plebeyos como los nobles, el rico y el pobre juntamente.
Both low and high, rich and poor, together.

Que ceux du bas état, et ceux qui sont d’une condition élevée écoutent ; pareillement le riche et le pauvre.
Mi boca hablará sabiduría; y el pensamiento de mi corazón inteligencia.
My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
My mouth will speak words of wisdom. My heart will utter understanding.
Ma bouche prononcera des discours pleins de sagesse, et ce que mon coeur a médité sont des choses pleines de sens.
Acomodaré á ejemplos mi oído: declararé con el arpa mi enigma.
I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
I will incline my ear to a proverb. I will solve my riddle on the harp.
Je prêterai l’oreille à un propos sentencieux, j’exposerai mes dits notables sur le violon.
¿Por qué he de temer en los días de adversidad, cuando la iniquidad de mis insidiadores me cercare?
Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?
Why should I fear in the days of evil, when iniquity at my heels surrounds me?
Pourquoi craindrai-je au mauvais temps, quand l’iniquité de mes talons m’environnera ?
Los que confían en sus haciendas, y en la muchedumbre de sus riquezas se jactan,
They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
Those who trust in their wealth, and boast in the multitude of their riches—
Il y en a qui se fient en leurs biens, et qui se glorifient en l’abondance de leurs richesses.
Ninguno de ellos podrá en manera alguna redimir al hermano, ni dar á Dios su rescate.
None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

Personne ne pourra avec ses richesses racheter son frère, ni donner à Dieu sa rançon.
(Porque la redención de su vida es de gran precio, y no se hará jamás;)

Car le rachat de leur âme est trop considérable, et il ne se fera jamais ;
Que viva adelante para siempre, y nunca vea la sepultura.

Pour faire qu’il vive encore à jamais et qu’il ne voie point la fosse.
Pues se ve que mueren los sabios, así como el insensato y el necio perecen, y dejan á otros sus riquezas.
For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.

Car on voit que les sages meurent, et pareillement que le fol et l’abruti périssent, et qu’ils laissent leurs biens à d’autres.
En su interior tienen que sus casas serán eternas, y sus habitaciones para generación y generación: llamaron sus tierras de sus nombres.
Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

Leur intention est que leurs maisons durent à toujours, et que leurs habitations demeurent d’âge en âge ; ils ont appelé les terres de leur nom ;
Mas el hombre no permanecerá en honra: es semejante á las bestias que perecen.
Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.
But man, despite his riches, doesn’t endure. He is like the animals that perish.
Et toutefois l’homme ne se maintient point dans ses honneurs, mais il est rendu semblable aux bêtes brutes qui périssent entièrement.
Este su camino es su locura: con todo, corren sus descendientes por el dicho de ellos. (Selah.)
This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah.
This is the destiny of those who are foolish, and of those who approve their sayings. Selah.
Ce chemin qu’ils tiennent, leur tourne à folie, et néanmoins leurs successeurs prennent plaisir à leurs enseignements ; Sélah.
Como rebaños serán puestos en la sepultura; la muerte se cebará en ellos; y los rectos se enseñorearán de ellos por la mañana: y se consumirá su bien parecer en el sepulcro de su morada.
Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling.
They are appointed as a flock for Sheol. Death shall be their shepherd. The upright shall have dominion over them in the morning. Their beauty shall decay in Sheol, far from their mansion.
Ils seront mis au sépulcre comme des brebis ; la mort se repaîtra d’eux, et les hommes droits auront domination sur eux au matin, et leur force sera le sépulcre pour les y faire consumer, chacun d’eux étant transporté hors de son domicile.
Empero Dios redimirá mi vida del poder de la sepultura, cuando me tomará. (Selah.)
But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

Mais Dieu rachètera mon âme de la puissance du sépulcre, quand il me prendra à soi ; Sélah.
No temas cuando se enriquece alguno, cuando aumenta la gloria de su casa;
Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
Don’t be afraid when a man is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
Ne crains point quand tu verras quelqu’un enrichi, et quand la gloire de sa maison sera multipliée.
Porque en muriendo no llevará nada, ni descenderá tras él su gloria.
For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.
for when he dies he will carry nothing away. His glory won’t descend after him.
Car lorsqu’il mourra, il n’emportera rien ; sa gloire ne descendra point après lui.
Si bien mientras viviere, dirá dichosa á su alma: y tú serás loado cuando bien te tratares.

Venant jusques à la race des pères de chacun d’eux, ce sera comme s’ils n’avaient jamais vu la lumière.
El hombre en honra que no entiende, semejante es á las bestias que perecen.
Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.
A man who has riches without understanding, is like the animals that perish.
L’homme qui est en honneur, et n’a point d’intelligence, est semblable aux bêtes brutes qui périssent entièrement
