Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
(04-3) Ihr Männer, wie lange wird meine Ehre zur Schmach? Wie habt ihr das Eitle so lieb und die Lügen so gern! (Pause.)
Hijos de los hombres, ¿hasta cuándo volveréis mi honra en infamia, amaréis la vanidad, y buscaréis la mentira? (Selah.)
O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
You sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? Will you love vanity and seek after falsehood? Selah.
(04-4) Erkennet doch, daß der HERR seinen Getreuen ausgezeichnet hat! Der HERR wird hören, wenn ich zu ihm rufe.

(04-7) Viele sagen: Wer wird uns Gutes sehen lassen? O HERR, erhebe über uns das Licht deines Angesichts!
Muchos dicen: ¿Quién nos mostrará el bien? Alza sobre nosotros, oh Jehová, la luz de tu rostro.
There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
Many say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD, let the light of your face shine on us.
(04-8) Du hast mir Freude in mein Herz gegeben, mehr denn sie haben, wenn ihres Kornes und ihres Mostes viel geworden ist.
Tú diste alegría en mi corazón, más que tienen ellos en el tiempo que se multiplicó su grano y su mosto.
Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and their new wine are increased.
(04-9) Ich werde mich ganz in Frieden niederlegen und schlafen; denn du, HERR, lässest mich, auch wenn ich allein bin, sicher wohnen.
En paz me acostaré, y asimismo dormiré; porque solo tú, Jehová, me harás estar confiado.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me live in safety.
