1Eine Unterweisung Davids, vorzusingen; da Doeg, der Edomiter, kam und sagte Saul an und sprach: David ist in Ahimelechs Haus gekommen. Was trotzest du denn, du Tyrann, daß du kannst Schaden tun; so doch Gottes Güte täglich währet?
2Deine Zunge trachtet nach Schaden und schneidet mit Lügen wie ein scharfes Schermesser.
3Du redest lieber Böses denn Gutes, und Falsches denn Rechtes. (Sela.
4Du redest gerne alles, was zu verderben dient, mit falscher Zunge.
5Darum wird dich Gott auch ganz und gar zerstören und zerschlagen und aus deiner Hütte reißen und aus dem Lande der Lebendigen ausrotten. (Sela.)
6Und die Gerechten werden es sehen und sich fürchten und werden sein lachen:
7“Siehe, das ist der Mann, der Gott nicht für seinen Trost hielt, sondern verließ sich auf seinen großen Reichtum und war mächtig, Schaden zu tun.”
8Ich aber werde bleiben wie ein grüner Ölbaum im Hause Gottes, verlasse mich auf Gottes Güte immer und ewiglich.
9Ich danke dir ewiglich, denn du kannst's wohl machen; ich will harren auf deinen Namen, denn deine Heiligen haben Freude daran.

2Agravios maquina tu lengua: como navaja amolada hace engaño.
3Amaste el mal más que el bien; la mentira más que hablar justicia. (Selah.)
4Has amado toda suerte de palabras perniciosas, engañosa lengua.
5Por tanto Dios te derribará para siempre: te asolará y te arrancará de tu morada, y te desarraigará de la tierra de los vivientes. (Selah.)
6Y verán los justos, y temerán; y reiránse de él, diciendo:
7He aquí el hombre que no puso á Dios por su fortaleza, sino que confió en la multitud de sus riquezas, y se mantuvo en su maldad.
8Mas yo estoy como oliva verde en la casa de Dios: en la misericordia de Dios confío perpetua y eternalmente.
9Te alabaré para siempre por lo que has hecho: y esperaré en tu nombre, porque es bueno, delante de tus santos.

1Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
2Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
4Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.
5God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.
6The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
7Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
8But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
9I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

1Why do you boast of mischief, mighty man? God’s loving kindness endures continually.
2Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
3You love evil more than good, lying rather than speaking the truth. Selah.
4You love all devouring words, you deceitful tongue.
5God will likewise destroy you forever. He will take you up, and pluck you out of your tent, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.
6The righteous also will see it, and fear, and laugh at him, saying,
7“Behold, this is the man who didn’t make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.”
8But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in God’s house. I trust in God’s loving kindness forever and ever.
9I will give you thanks forever, because you have done it. I will hope in your name, for it is good, in the presence of your saints.
